4 Prayers and Praises Praise the Lord. Be not silent, O God of my praise! For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. They circle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer. (Psalm 109:1 3) Pray for our graduates as they transition to college or employment. May they stay close to God and look to Him for ability and strength as they enter this next season of life. Missions Prayer Focus Pray for the Big Oak Ranch, a Briarwood supported ministry. The Ranch is a Christian home for children needing a chance to find a normal life, to find God s love, and to know that we are all more than our circumstances we are what we have the strength to become. Continue steadfastly in prayer... Colossians 4:2a Opportunities for Ministry and Growth Come meet other Briarwood members at the Summer Fellowship Groups. WOC would like to encourage our women to get to know fellow members who live in their part of town by organizing groups based on location. For more information and to register for a group in your area, visit briarwood.org/women. Start saving your change! The VBS mission project is Sweet Sleep s Build a Bed program. Our goal is to provide 100 beds for orphans in southern Uganda with comfy mattresses, fresh linens, soft blankets, mosquito nets, and Bibles in their language. Too important to forget Deacon and Elder nominations for the Class of 2021 are being accepted from the congregation during this month. 6 Announcements Tonight for Children Rising K5 1st grade meets in M111 for ABC Memory with Cindy Reeder and Abby Leib. Rising 2nd 6th grade meets in the Gym for a lesson and games with the childrens s staff. Briarwood Fellows Come hear the Spring Presentations in the Chapel on May 24 from 6:30 8:00 p.m. and on May 25 from noon 1:00 p.m. All are welcome! The Sacrament of the Lord s Supper May 27 in the evening service. Members of the congregation are invited to prepare their hearts to receive Communion.
