4 Prayers and Praises He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress. My God in whom I trust. (Psalm 91:01, 2) Pray for Congressman Gary Palmer as he prepares to speak on Sept. 16 at the Sunday Luncheon. Pray for his protection and God s direction in his daily walk with the Lord. Missions Prayer Focus Pray for Scotty and Sylvia Hollins as he leads Blueprint Tuscaloosa. Blueprint s mission is to equip and empower students at the University of Alabama to become leaders who transform the under-resourced communities in Tuscaloosa by investing in urban youth. (The Alabama state flag is featured in today s service.) Continue steadfastly in prayer... Colossians 4:2a Opportunities for Ministry and Growth Children come for the hour of fun and song at choir tonight! Children s Choir will meet every week from 6:15 7:15 p.m. Pre-register your preschool and elementary child at briarwood.org/childrenschoirs. Fall is a wonderful time of year to start a new study and attend MidWeek activites. There are Men s and Women s studies at various times and days of the week from which to choose. Check the website or app for information on both. Then make your dinner plans for Wednesdays followed by a MidWeek class or activity. See the opportunities, register for dinner, and make nursery reservations on the Briarwood App or at briarwood.org/midweek. The Pastor s Inquirers Class begins Sept. 16 for newcomers and prospective members. It includes two Sunday morning classes (Sept. 16 and 23), Wed. night (Sept. 19), weekend class (Sat. morning, Sept. 22) and a luncheon (Sept. 30 only for those who are joining).
