4 Prayers and Praises Praise the Lord. Hear, O sons, a father s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. (Proverbs 4:1, 2) Pray for the Embers to a Flame Conference Jan and the needed volunteers. Pray also for the teachers preparing to seek God s guidance and for the churches coming to have listening ears and open hearts to the material being presented. Missions Prayer Focus Pray for John Gibbons who serves as State Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Alabama. Pray for the many students who are in need of a personal, life-changing relationship with our Lord and Savior, and for additional staff to meet the needs of FCA. Continue steadfastly in prayer... Colossians 4:2a Opportunities for Ministry and Growth Start off the new year by joining a men s or women s study group. It s a great way to fellowship with other believers while growing spiritually! Women of the Covenant (WOC) and Men of the Covenant (MOC) study group opportunities begin this week. Go to the Briarwood App, or online at briarwood.org/women and briarwood.org/men to see a listing. Call for questions with women s studies or for men s studies. Recharge your week this winter by coming to Briarwood MidWeek beginning this Wed., Jan. 10. There are opportunities for the entire family to come together on Wednesday evenings for a Fellowship Dinner and to take part in a class or activity.
