1 ST. MARY MYSTICAL ROSE GUIDING LIGHT We the faithful of St. Mary Mystical Rose Parish are a Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Detroit. We serve God through His Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, with the empowerment and the strength of the Holy Spirit: to celebrate the Holy Sacraments and Worship, Christian Service and Faith Education, to evangelize and practice our faith in active stewardship--with the faith, spirit and humility of Mary, the Rose of God and our Patron Saint. Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, (Matthew 11:25-30). Acknowledgement, praise, meekness and humility of heart are virtues and values that Christians should obtained. Our role model, the Lord Himself set out these examples for us to follow. Jesus acknowledges His Father, God in everything that He Himself do and say. His great love and respect of God, His Father, He gave Him all the credit, honor and glory for all He teaches and does. Jesus invites us to trust and believe in Him for He will always provide and blesses us with His divine grace when He said, Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light, (Matt 11). Brothers and sisters, we can do all things with love, say all things with love, if we have the heart of Jesus. I will end up with the prayer from His Grace, Archbishop Vigneron regarding Unleash the Gospel. Let us pray that we will encounter and evangelize our families, friends, community, nation and the whole world with God s mercy and blessings. Let us, also depend and rely on our loving and merciful God in all things. Amen! Prayer to Unleash the Gospel God our Father, you have called us to be witnesses to Jesus and have commissioned us to lead all people to encounter Him. Send your Holy Spirit to enlighten our minds so that your will may be clear to us and that we may accept it. Dwell within our souls and make our hearts your own. Transform us into a band of joyful missionary disciples embracing the fruits of Synod 16 so as to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in Southeastern Michigan through joyful evangelization and service. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love. Amen. Saint Anne, pray for us. Amen.
