We serve God through His Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, with the empowerment and the strength of the Holy Spirit: to celebrate the Holy Sacraments and Worship, Christian Service and Faith Education, to evangelize and practice our faith in active stewardship--with the faith, spirit and humility of Mary, the Rose of God and our Patron Saint. Private Confession 1st and 3rd Saturday at 4:00 pm or by appointment. Parish Office Hours Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 am 4:00 pm Emergency Calls PARISH MEMBERSHIP: We joyfully welcome new members to our parish. Please register at the parish office during business hours. We also ask that you let us know if you plan to move from the parish. INFANT BAPTISM: Parents must be registered and regularly attending the Sunday Eucharist to begin Baptism preparation. Baptismal Preparation is held by appointment. Call the parish office to schedule a date. The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the first and third Sunday of every month. MARRIAGE: If one of the engaged couple (or their parents) is registered at St. Mary s arrangements may be made personally by the couple at least six months in advance months is preferred. SICK CALLS: We are happy to visit the sick and bring Communion to them. Please notify the parish office. ANNULMENT PROCESS: If you are contemplating filing for an annulment; know that it is a healing process. It takes up to 18 months for the Tribunal to complete each case, so please take that into consideration. Call the parish office for more information.

They strengthen and empower the soul. They motivate and energize the human spirit. They carry with them the magnitude and severity of thoughts and actions. They communicate and relate what the heart desires. Words have meaning to communicate what is in the depth of the mind. In today s message, Jesus in the holy Gospel according to Mark,compares the Kingdom of God to the Sower. The sower spreads the seed in the soil and lets it grow. Blade, ear, grain. When the grain is ripe, they gather it and harvest it. And again, Jesus used another parable in Mark s Gospel to compare the Kingdom of God to the mustard seed. The seed is the word of God who is Jesus. He sows all God s teachings and Commandments in our hearts and souls (land) so that we will live in the abundance of His holy life. All things and everything He has done and continues to accomplish in us. If we listen and obey His will, we will be given and granted to us. God bless you and your family and we pray that God s living Word lives and grows in our words and actions! Amen CSA Catholic Services Appeal Thank you in abundance for your support of our CSA last year. We made our goal and it has made a difference in the ministries of the Church and our Parish. You are the light of Christ shining through families, communities, and the world to help others who need it. Love is not love if we do not give and share it to bless others. Your kindness and generosity in giving to the CSA assists and helps our Lord Jesus Christ, to share His mission with great love and joy in the Church and the world. Our CSA target this year, is $29, IF we will make our target and the overall will assist us with our projects like the ramp for the handicapped on the west side, put inches of cement in front of the Fr. Sysol s Narthex, and other minor projects. Thank you for your love and generous giving. The Lord loves the heart that gives. ARMADA FAIR Our Fair this year will be on August Its an amazing event and fundraiser for our Parish as well. We re glad and excited that Disney World is brought to Armada through the Fair every year. Please, do not miss a chance to sign-in for shifts at our St. Mary s Heavenly Chicken Food Booth. Yes right, the chicken and every food cooked in our Food Booth smells great and tastes good. Sign-up sheets are located on the table at the lower Fr. Sysol s Narthex. Don t miss this chance of fun getting to know your faith brothers and sisters. Every parishioner is needed to help operate the food booth, so please come down prepared to sign up. It is a very happy and busy week in the St Mary Mystical Rose Food Booth and we need all of you to volunteer and help with our largest fund raiser of the year. Children must be at least 10 years of age to help out. It is a fun time for families to work together. Chili Dogs after Mass on Saturday 6/30 Come join us in our Parish Hall after Mass on Saturday June 30 th for good food and good conversation. We will be serving Chili Dogs. Look for the sign-up sheet down in the lower Narthex. Please sign up if you can bring a side dish or dessert to go along with the chili dogs. Beverages will be provided. Ever wonder about the Biblical roots of our Catholic faith? Do you wish you knew more about the Bible? The Catholic Biblical School of Michigan (CBSM) is opening a class at Holy Family Parish in Memphis. The class is open to adults whose hearts yearn to study the entire Bible. Thursday evening classes will meet from September to May and will study the entire Bible in four years. All faculty members hold graduate degrees in Catholic theology. They are experienced teachers and are deeply devoted to the Catholic faith. To learn more about this faith-filled study of Sacred Scripture, you are invited to attend one of the Information Nights that the CBSM will host at Holy Family Parish, Main St., Memphis, on Thursdays, June 28, July 19, and August 16, at 7:00 pm. May God continue to guide you, comfort you, and bless you richly as you enter on this new chapter of your life. Consider sharing your faith by inviting a family member or neighbor to enroll their children in faith formation, join in youth group activities or join our band of joyful missionary disciples who assist with youth catechesis! Again, many hands are needed to make this program a faith filled, fun experience. LAWRENCE CATHOLIC SCHOOL We are happy to announce that St. Lawrence Catholic School is offering a five day (Monday-Friday) full day (9:10-4:00) licensed child care/preschool program beginning with the 2018/2019 school year. The maximum number of students in the class will be limited to 20. There will be a full time aide in the classroom along with a certified teacher. The tuition is $4,500. St. Lawrence Preschool also has openings in our Monday, Wednesday, Friday half day 4 year old preschool program. If you are interested in registering, go to the St. Lawrence School website, hover over Admissions, and scroll down to New Family Enrollment. Complete the application online. Print it and return it to the school office along with a copy of the child's birth and baptismal certificates. Please call St. Lawrence School, , with any questions. CSA Catechesis Unleash the Gospel: Forming Joyful Missionary Disciples is the theme of the June Catechist Topics and Enrichment 2018, offered at Sacred Heart Major Seminary this month. Your CSA gifts help fund the 27 catechist topics, which are open to anyone seeking catechist certification, as well as Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit seeking personal enrichment. Among the topics featured from June and June are Morality and Conscience, Catechesis in a Multicultural World, and Mary: First Disciple. Also included for 2018 is the Discernment of Spirits Enrichment, on June 21, and the Heart of Mercy retreat, on June 22, with Elizabeth Gengle.
