There have been many deaths from drug use and for parents, siblings and friends the loss is devastating. We have a support group for those who have lost someone to this horrible disease. This group meets on the last Thursday of every month. When professor Walter Vale (Richard Jenkins) travels to New York for a lecture, he s stunned to find illegal immigrants Tarek (Haaz Sleiman) and Zainab (Danai Gurira) living in his apartment. It comes out that it was rented to them by a swindler, and Vale feels sufficiently sorry for them that he invites them to stay. They get on well until Tarek is accused of jumping a subway turnstile and lands in a detention center. He risks being deported, and Vale does everything he can to prevent it. Having encountered and experienced God s love, forgiveness and peace, we are given a new horizon and a decisive direction in life. We will explore this theme to help us become effective evangelizers ourselves and examine some of the pillars of evangelization during these times of prayer and reflection. A silent Guided Retreat is open to adults choosing to meet daily with a Director for the purpose of sharing God s movement experienced in both life and prayer. 6 REMEMBERING FR. DICK DELISLE FIRST ANNIVERSARY MASS JUNE 24 4:30 PM Many of us who knew Fr. Dick Delisle know he loved both gardening and the poor. One fitting memorial to him will be to bring those loves together. We are establishing a small garden in his memory, which will provide fresh vegetables to our Monday Soup Kitchen. We will need people to help prepare the garden bed, plant, weed, water and then harvest. We are also looking for people to be the coordinators of the volunteer team. If you wish to help leave a note for Judy Medeiros at the Reception Desk with your name, phone number and address (if you have one.) We will begin on June 3rd.
