3 For Any or All Weekends in December Birthline Baby Clothes Needed Birthline, a program of the Office of the Pro-Life and Family Life, has recently experienced an increase of the number of families whom we assist. Birthline needs new or clean and gently used fall & winter clothes, sizes 0-3 months to 2T for both boys and girls. Donations can be dropped off Monday -Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Catholic Center. You may also order donations online and send them to Birthline, 1400 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN All donations are tax deductible. If you have questions, please contact Jená Hartman at (317) or jhartman@archindy.org. Birthline Volunteer Opportunities Birthline assists between 35 and 40 families each week by providing diapers, clothing and other baby items. Because of the increased number of families, more volunteers are needed to sort the donations and prepare the layette packages. Volunteer days are Monday or Wednesday. Local Solemn Observance In Prayerful Remembrance January 22, Indianapolis Please join us on Friday, January 22, 2016, for the annual Archdiocesan Local Solemn Observance in remembrance of the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. The Observance will begin with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Joseph Tobin at 12 noon at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral followed by a prayerful procession along Meridian Street. Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children January 22, 2016 The over 56 million abortions since the 1973 decisions of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton reflect with heartbreaking magnitude what Pope Francis means by a throwaway culture. January 22 is designated as a particular day of prayer and penance, called the "Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. In all the Dioceses of the United States of America, January 22 shall be observed as a particular day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion (General Instruction of the Roman Missal, no. 373). As individuals, we are called to observe this day through the penitential practices of prayer, fasting and/or giving alms.

5 For the Weekend of December 12-13, 2015 See announcements for any or all weeks Respect Life Mass Terre Haute December 16, 2015 On the 3 rd Wednesday of each month, the St. Joseph Pro-Life Ministry prays the Divine Mercy Chaplet (St. Joseph University, 113, S Fifth St., Terre Haute.) at 4:30 pm prior to the 5:15 pm Respect Life Mass. Immediately following Mass, the St. Joseph Pro-Life Ministry has a bi-monthly meeting in the St. Joseph Parish meeting room from 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. All are welcome! Helpers of God s Precious Infants Prayer Vigil Indianapolis December 19, 2015 This event, which is held every 3 rd Saturday of the month, begins with participants joining the St. Michael the Archangel Church congregation (3354 W. 30 th St., Indianapolis, IN 46222) for the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Following Mass, participants will prayerfully proceed to the nearby abortion facility and pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. The devotions conclude between 10:30 a.m. 10:45 a.m. Those who do not process to the facility may remain in the church to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. At 9:30 am, participants will prayerfully proceed to the nearby abortion facility at 30 S. 3 rd Street, Terre Haute, to pray in front of the facility (parking along Ohio Street) until 10:00 am. Next, the group will travel to St. Patrick Adoration Chapel (1807 Poplar Street, Terre Haute) to pray Divine Mercy Chaplet with devotions concluding around 10:30 a.m. Sad Saturday Shelbyville January 2, 2016 On the 1st Saturday of each month, please, join the Shelby County Catholic Community Respect Life Committee for "Sad Saturday," a silent, prayerful march interceding for mothers and fathers considering abortion, for our Blessed Mother Mary and the Holy Spirit to guide them to a safe place and they may choose life for their children. The event, in cooperation with St. Elizabeth/Coleman and the Pregnancy Care Center of Shelby County, will be held from 3 pm to 3:45 pm in front of St Joseph Church, 125 East Broadway St, Shelbyville, IN on December 5, Following the march, participants are invited to attend 4 pm Mass in St. Joseph Church.
