This is part of our on-going effort to introduce some changes to Loaves and Fishes! Our goal is to enhance the experience for our crew and guests! Last month we made some changes to our meal! Our guests were thrilled! Last week, I spoke with one of our ac ve volunteers at the front desk, Isabel. She men oned that she was one of the early volunteers with Loaves & Fishes Volunteers from St. Patrick s play a variety of roles within our ministries. Volunteers interests may evolve over the years as new opportuni es happen or interests change! One thing that never changes is our need for dynamic volunteers! Join Edina City Council members, elected officials and community members to celebrate 66 West! The City of Edina and Hennepin County have approved a total of $1.3 million dollars in capital contribu ons to support 66 West. These funds will be used to leverage addi onal funds in the public and private sectors! There will be a tour of the future home of 39 young adults who will be working to transform their lives! We are looking for volunteers this summer to join our Loaves & Fishes Crews! There are lots of ways that you can support this important ministry! You can prepare or serve food, be a, runner or help with our clean- up crew! You can also drop off fresh produce at the front desk on the day that we serve our meal! We offer a meal on the second Monday of the month at Holy Rosary Church in Minneapolis! We serve our meal at 5:15 pm and ask our servers to arrive by 4:45 pm. Our clean-up crew arrives between 5:15-5:30 pm. The shi s last approximately 1 ½ hours! We serve between people each month. We are also rolling out a second meal on a trial basis every other month at St. Stephen s. St. Patrick s received the request from St. Stephen s. There are growing numbers of people that are using food pantries and community meals to bridge the gaps. Hunger is on the rise!
