It is also known by the hundreds of partners who regularly provide food for McKenna s Wagon. Recently, some folks let us know their favorite meal. The hands-down winner? 6 A Shepherd for Stressful Times - Week 4 The Stress of INDECISION The word stress comes from the Latin word meaning tight. It s a picture of a rope strung between 2 points. Like 2 opposing ideas that won t let go of each other. A double minded person is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8) 4 Simple Steps - to Follow the Lord 1. Before you can be led by God you have to admit you need a guide. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is death. (Proverbs 14:12) 2. After we admit we need help - we need to ask in faith. If anybody lacks wisdom, let him ask God. (James 1:5) ASK = Ask - Seek - Knock 3. Listen - to what God has to say to you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow Me. (John 10:27) 1st We listen - but it takes practice to hear God s voice 2nd We listen to His Spirit - alive & well within us 3rd We listen to God through prayer 4th We listen to God through teachers and preachers 5th We listen by daily turning to God s Word 4. We have to trust God and then follow. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5,6)
