The Mount Oak Sports Program (MO sports) invites you to join our recreational sports programs for the children of the community. We will offer three levels of basketball; elementary, junior high & high school levels, for children in grades The season is November March. You do not need to be a member of Mount Oak. Homeschoolers are encouraged to enroll. Registration is November 3, :30 to 5:30 pm Enrollment fee for Basketball is $ (No child will be refused enrollment due to financial reasons. 6 Today s sermon text is from: 2 Corinthians 4:1-7 (NKJV) T h e R i s e n C h r i s t, F a i t h s R e a l i t y T h e L i g h t o f C h r i s t s G o s p e l 4 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Gala ans 6: 9-10 The Message Missions is excited to announce the Women s Ministry mission project Pregnancy Clinics. This announcement was made at their October dinner. Make sure you look for their information boards and various pamphlets. We are looking forward to working alongside Women s Ministry to promote all areas of this Christian ministry. Not only do they serve those who face unexpected pregnancies but offer services for men and women of all ages. God planted a seed in Pam Palumbo s (CEO) heart in a Bowie Sunday school class. A need birthed their first clinic in Bowie. It opened in They now have two more clinics located in Severna Park and Annapolis. God has directed their clinic locations over the years. The Severna Park Clinic was a former abortion clinic and their Annapolis location is across the street from Planned Parenthood. Please visit their website for additional information: October is Respect Life Month. Please pray for lives to be saved! Tuesdays are abortion days at Planned Parenthood in Annapolis. Please pray for clients to come across the street to a safe clinic and choose life. KARIOS Weekends: Janet and Gary Greenip will be serving inside the prisons. Work with a number of ministries in DC to provide food, clothes, funds for homeless shelters, the gospel message, and your love and care to those in need. Children are encouraged with their parents to par cipate in these ac vi es. Join us on Saturday, November 22, :30 am to Mid-A ernoon Mt. Oak is working with two organiza ons this year that have ongoing ministries of compassion in DC in the name of Jesus. These organiza- ons can use Mt. Oak s assistance in assembling and distribu ng food baskets and turkeys to needy families and in making and serving food to the hungry. For those who cannot help out personally on Saturday, you may make a financial contribu on or you can purchase frozen turkeys and bring them to the church that Saturday morning.
