The Roscoe Library: forming people, transforming communities Actively involved in the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane? You re welcome to free membership of the Roscoe Library. Please visit, browse and borrow! Following on from the successful launch of the Bible360 seminars, we would like to draw attention to resources connected with further education in this area. The Roscoe Library has recently purchased a collection of New Testament study guides written by Tom Wright. These are designed for small group work over a period of weeks and are inexpensive to purchase. Each study guide has an introduction to the particular book, guidelines for the leader of the group and chapters each planned to occupy a session of group study. These books are an excellent resource for Parish Bible studies. The series is called the For Everyone Bible Study Guides and, at the moment, covers the Gospels, Acts, and the Pauline Letters. As new volumes are published, the Roscoe Library will be purchasing them to add to the Education and Ministry Resources a collection of resources recommended for Parish and individual study which are held permanently in the Library to enable clergy and others to peruse items prior to purchase. Another title added to this collection last week is Walking with Gospel women: interactive Bible meditations. Imaginative meditations can be a powerful way of attuning ourselves to God s presence, involving as it does the emotions as well as the mind. This book offers a refreshing and inspiring way into Bible study, using meditative monologues based around many women of the Gospels. Through a time of guided reflection, we identify with the women concerned and see what lessons emerge for today as we ponder her story. The Roscoe Library catalogue can be viewed online: go to Opening hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm. Library staff, Eve James, Susan Thomas and Kay Murry, can be contacted on or library@ministryeducation.org.au 8
