5 Friday 26 October Last Man Standing - Elijah Thursday 20 December Deck the Halls Elijah, one of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament. Our day together will explore Elijah s spiritual highs and lows and help us to reflect on our own walk with God. The Ven Hugh McCurdy Friday 30 November Be Still Beside Jesus "Just four days before Christmas Eve, a time to put aside all the last-minute anxieties of presents, shopping, food etc and come and spend some time gently reflecting on the real meaning of the Christmas miracle through word, hymns and carols." 6 Creative Arts Retreat Movement Residential Retreats 2018 Wed 22 to Wed 29 August Painting and Prayer Retreat Creation and Creativity We plan to explore together how our art can draw us more closely into our relationship with God, through a focus on the Creation story in Genesis. Mon 15 to Sun 21 October Stitch and Prayer Retreat Annabel Barber and Diana Penny Richard Steel and Christine Phillips Richard is a broadcaster, writer, artist and photographer and more recently experimenting with clay sculpture. Christine, a U3A painting tutor enjoys painting retreats and teaching people how to develop their creativity through the use of different media. From Wed afternoon until after lunch the following Wed. Standard room 504 En suite room 556 Annabel says I find that It is the spiritual aspects of working with cloth and thread that sustain me in my busy ministry. Diana has found it very helpful to be on the CARM embroidery retreats herself. The combination of silent times, prayer times and times to talk during the day while we are creating gives a very helpful rhythm to the retreat.
