2 WELCOME. We re glad to gather together as a community of faith today. No matter where you are on the journey of faith, you are welcome here, to join in worship and service. All are invited to a time of refreshment and conversation immediately following worship in St. Andrews Hall (down the steps outside the sanctuary, and to the left). If you are new to this community of faith, we rejoice in your presence with us. Remember, we re not strangers, but rather friends who journey together, following the Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 6:2 ALL NAMES ON THE PRAYER LIST HAVE BEEN REMOVED FOR PRIVACY REASONS. THE PRINTED ANNOUNCEMENTS INCLUDED IN THE BULLETIN ON SUNDAY MORNINGS CONTAINS THE COMPLETE LIST. The weekly prayer list includes those members and friends of the church family who are in a short-term temporarily serious or critical situation. Please remember in your prayers all those listed. Names placed on the weekly list will be removed after six weeks unless the church office is requested otherwise. We need your help to keep our prayer lists accurate and current. Please refer to the website, for further information on activities. CONGREGATIONAL MEETING TODAY - after the 10 a.m. worship service to hear the report of the Pastor Nominating Committee, vote to call the candidate, Rev. Scott Ramsey, with the agreed terms of call, and comply with the requirements of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) concerning the call. BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS - Despite threatening weather and an exciting church service, last Sunday s blood drive collected 21 units. Thank you to all who participated! The next blood drive is October 21, 2018; please mark your calendars. SHARE MONTHLY FOOD CONTRIBUTIONS Next Sunday, August 5, we collect for SHARE, which serves people in our area. SHARE needs pasta, pasta sauce, juice in plastic containers, sugar, and cooling oil. NO OUT OF DATE OR OPENED PRODUCTS. They are not accepted and thrown out. DEACONS FUND - Following worship next Sunday, August 5, the Deacons will receive contributions for the Deacons Fund in the Narthex as you leave the Sanctuary. The Deacons Fund is used to provide short-term assistance to those in our community who have emergency needs. 7

8 THE SEARCH FOR A NEW INTERIM YOUTH COORDINATOR is underway to succeed Elizabeth Steel who is headed to Princeton Seminary in the fall. Details can be found on the church website If you know someone who might be interested, please share this information with them or contact the search committee chair, Linda Bender. BACKPACK DRIVE FOR SECOND STORY - Our collection drive for backpacks of school supplies runs through August 5 th. There s a collection box in St. Andrews Hall. Second Story needs your help to provide backpacks of school supplies to youth and teens in our community. Let s help them be ready for a productive year of school. Each backpack must include all of the following supplies. Please help if you can. One medium-to-large backpack for boys or girls Lined notebook paper A spiral notebook or Composition book Pens and pencils; pencil pouch or holder Crayons, scissors and glue sticks ADULT CLUB - The Adult Club will meet for food and fellowship on Sunday, August 12 in the Vinson Hall Dining Room at 12 noon. Please call Elaine Baker, , for further information or to make a reservation. Elaine can provide maps of the Vinson Hall property which show parking facilities and direct you to the Dining Room. SUMMER CHOIR All ages are invited to be a member of the Summer Choir August 12 and August 26. Join us at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary and we will rehearse the anthem for that Sunday and then sing in worship. This is an opportunity for anyone who wold join in and isng with the choir! 8
