This statement could take a number of directions, and most of us could write a book about the crazy, off-the-wall sayings our kids have come up with, or events which have happened during a family dinner. Family time often turns into an impromptu improve session, whether we acknowledge it or not. To celebrate the chaos of family, and enjoy laughing together, FBC is hosting a professional IMPROV group! While this is geared for families, everyone is invited! It s healthy to laugh together, and to celebrate life together. On Sunday, March 13 th we get to experience a true family-appropriate IMPROV session together. Please invite families to come experience a laugh together! 2 Spotlight on Missions! Hear Stephen and Anita Collins Speak Mt. Zion WMU Annual Missions Celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Mebane, NC. Registration and refreshments will begin at 6:30 pm. The program beginning at 7:00 pm will feature Stephen and Anita Collins, son and daughter-in-law of Jack and Faye Collins and missionaries with the International Mission Board. Contact Mary Alexander or Margaret Muegge for carpool opportunities. Everyone is invited. It s Time. It s time to begin planning your Appalachian Christmas Outreach Backpack It s time because hats, gloves, sweaters, and warm coats are ON SALE NOW. Age categories for recipients of your gifts are Boys and Girls ages 3-5, Boys and Girls ages 6-9, and Boys and Girls ages Backpacks given to children in Appalachia open the way for them to learn of the love of Jesus. Begin now to pray that the child who receives your backpack will learn about the best gift of all, eternal life. Agape Women Agape Women on Mission will meet at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 14 at the home of Mary Alexander, 104 Avenue of Trees, Elon. Call Sarah ( ) if you need transportation. All ladies of the church are encouraged to attend. Agape is a missions-minded group that focuses on missions activities and prayer support for local missions as well as our missionaries around the world. Backpack Buddies Ministry Our Backpack Buddies Ministry provides food for children in need. Currently, we are running short on several items. Please consider giving: Pop Tarts, small boxes of cereal, fruit cups, jello or pudding cups, small containers of mac & cheese, cans of soup, ramen noodles WMU NC Missions Extravaganza Missions Extravaganza WMU NC will take place at Ridgecrest Conference Center on Friday Sunday, April 1 3, The theme for the week-end is Both Feet In: A Journey to Surrender, Sacrifice, and Service. Missionaries will speak about their journeys. Places for Christ followers to offer more service will be discussed and training for service will be available. 3 Family Ministry at FBC! The Date Escape! Good To Know We had a total of 19 families who participated in our Date Escape Night! We had 8 guest families; three of those are daycare families. We had 25 children and 7 youth in attendance for Mad Science! Our Family Worship Night attendance is averaging 60 people. We started with 11! This is a great time of outreach and growth. Invite your friends and family to come and be a part of all that is happening here! Family Worship Night!

4 Mark Your Calendar! New Check In Process To ensure the safety and security of our children, we have initiated a Sunday morning check-in system for all children 5 th grade and under. Parents will come to the Welcome Center where they will be greeted by one of our volunteers who will help them enter their children into our check-in system. Children will then be given a nametag to wear; the infants nametags will be clipped onto their diaper bags. Children, k-5 th, will receive a sticker name tag each week. At check-in, nursery parents will be given temporary key fobs to enter the nursery hall, which will remain locked on Sunday mornings as an added security measure. Only nursery parents and workers will have access to this area on Sunday mornings. Inside the door of each classroom will be a chart labeled FBC Burlington Nursery. Parents will use this chart to record any allergies we need to know about. This information will be passed from teacher to teacher and week to week appropriately. After the service, parents will return their key fobs when they pick up their children. Nametags will be collected for re-issue each week. We are in the beginning of this process. Over time we will modify it for efficacy and efficiency. Please be patient in this process and remember that safety is our first priority. Saturday, March 5 Church Under the Bridge We will meet at FBC at 4:30 to pack some dailyitem bags to hand out to our homeless brothers and sisters. Then we will head to Greensboro s Church Under the Bridge for worship. We will stop for dinner on the way home. Sunday, March 13 Family Improv Night All FBC members, friends, and families are invited to join us at 5:30 in the fellowship Hall for food, fellowship, and fun with a local comedy improv group. Invite your friends! Saturday, March 18 Youth Lock-In We will meet at FBC at 7:00 pm to leave for Air Bound in Greensboro (attached is the waiver form). The cost is $10 per-student and money for food at Waffle House. FRIENDS ARE EN- COURAGED! We will grow as a family among the youth group and to eat lots of food and jump at skyzone, but probably not in that order! journey CLASS Our new Sunday morning Bible study class is off to a great start! If you are a young adult or a parent of a child in the home, please join us! We meet at 9:45 on Sunday mornings in a classroom behind the Community Room. Enter our Welcome Center through our side entrance and someone will be waiting to great you and show you where to go!

From Here to There Meals for Guatemala In July, 18 of our members, led by Cameron West, will travel to Guatemala. For the next few months we will be hosting a series of monthly meals to benefit this mission trip. Join uson March 20, April 24, May 22, and June 5 after worship in the Fellowship Hall. A meal will be provided. Donations are welcome. Reservations are not needed. All donations will go towards this trip...the more money received the more they can accomplish when they go...think supplies for Back Yard Bible Study, Bibles, building materials, bunk beds, shoes and the like. We are calling this endeavor "From Here to There...Meals for Guatemala." We are going from here (FBC Burlington) to there (Guatemala) with the goal to help the people of Guatemala get from here (where they are now) to there (their potential through Christ). What a great way to 'get in on what God is doing'. Hope to see you there.
