AMERICAN GOSPEL: CHRIST ALONE February 10, at 5:00 p.m. This movie explores the core question of Christianity, What is the gospel? through the distorting lens of American culture. 4 BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK FBC is responsible for this ministry during the months of February and April. In the past we have asked for donations of food to help provide food for children on the weekend. However, in an effort to adequately provide what the students need, you are asked to donate money and we will purchase specific items. Please indicate Blessings in a Backpack on your envelope. We will not be taking food donations. You may donate at any time. We will be taking a Blessings in a Backpack offering on Sunday, February 10. The packing party will be on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. in Room 210. Everyone is invited to join the fun! DivorceCare and DC4K will begin a new session on Sunday, February 3, at 5:30 p.m. If you or someone you know are separated or divorced please consider being a part of or telling them about this small group. NEW LADIES BIBLE STUDY In 7 sessions, Seamless, by Angie Smith, covers the people, places, and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Whether you've grown up hearing Bible stories or you're exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming. The group will begin to meet on Monday, February 4, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 210. SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 9:00 A.M. in the Youth Room In our six-week study of Baptist Essentials, we will learn what separates Southern Baptist churches from other denominations. This week the discussion will be on the ordinances of the church. MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY We are taking a group to the Chanku Wastè Ranch on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. 6 SAMFORD MTI CLASS Introduction to New Testament January 21-March 11, 6:00 p.m. on Monday nights. The cost is $50 plus the text book. Participants will be given an overview of the various sections of the New Testament. Instruction will be given on the authors, context and content of the New Testament books. Attention will be given to the history of the New Testament and the development of the New Testament Canon. For more information, see the church website or call the church office. Textbooks may be purchased in the office for $ THERE IS STILL TIME TO REGISTER! NEW SERMON SERIES Are you reading your book What Is A Healthy Church? Bro. Larry will begin a new ten week sermon series next Sunday. On February 3, he will preach a general message on the church. Each message will be based on a chapter from the book. Sunday Nights at 6:00 p.m. Join us on Sunday nights for a verse by verse study of Philippians. This book is very practical and encourages Christians to: Remain in Unity, Remain Faithful, Remain Joyful.
