4 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report Annual Meeting Minutes January 29, 2017 ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES The 2017 Annual Meeting for Hosanna Lutheran Church was called to order by President Ray Ashworth at 12:12. A quorum of 52 members was present. President Ashworth thanked Paul Anderson and council members who assisted in preparing the delicious lunch. Opening devotions were led by Pastor Bill Meiers. Barb Schepp moved (Les Fullem second) to approve the minutes of the 2016 Annual Meeting Minutes. Passed. STAFF AND COUNCIL REPORTS Rev. Bill Meiers - Senior Pastor (pg 6-7) - Disciples of Christ to reach out & care for each other. Membership numbers are up in the last year, but unfortunately worship attendance is down. This is a nationwide trend and something we will be working to improve. Dave Walle inquired about a Sunday Morning Conference Pastor Meiers attended That looked at new worship options. One thing we ve already implemented is the 25 home worship kits that Darcy distributed last summer. Nancy Wales Director of Music (pg 8-9) - Music ministry leaders, members & church staff were thanked for all we do in worship as a congregation. We are stronger as a whole than we are individually. Nancy encourages all to participate in some way in worship. The choir renamed themselves in March to the Hosanna Choir. She is working on more ways to incorporate the youth into worship. Thank you for donations & memorial gifts as they helped purchase: New LED lamps for the piano & organ A new piano cover A three octave set of choir chimes to be used by both Kings Ringers & Praise! Nancy encouraged us to look at and examine the reasons we attend worship. Darcy Youngstrom Director of Faith Formation (pg 10) - The role of Faith Formation includes facilitating the health of the entire congregation s faith. The youth are working in the community - over $100,000 was raised by the three public high schools for charities this December. Dave Walle offered to come talk to the youth about the challenges he faces with hearing loss. She thanked him & all who participated in the video that was shown in December. Sharing our stories is important! Barb Schepp - Youth Ministry - Our High School youth are doing a lot both inside & outside our walls. She looks to the future as we look at ways to incorporate when faith is formed - no matter how old the person is when their faith is cemented. She thanks others on the team, mainly Dan Wildfeuer & Laurie Maidl, for all the work they do for the youth. Ray Ashworth Council President (pg 12) - Thank you to the staff & advocates for making it easy to be the this congregation s president. The biggest thing he wants to highlight is the Cross Tower. Thank you to Jodi Solum for taking on the role of church secretary. Natalie Sand - Discipleship Advocate (pg 13) - Bible studies, youth involvement and many other ministries fall under her purview. She really appreciates the emphasis we put on our youth. Thank you to the congregation for being inclusive and supportive of the youth in all they want to participate. She asked what we can do to keep the youth involved as they grow into young adults in church & worship. Ron Machacek Fellowship Advocate (pg 18) - We are looking for leaders in two ministries this year - Funeral Services and Yuletide Dinners. Please let Ron know if you or someone you know is interested. Stephen s Ministers are going strong, we have five ministers who have been working with individuals this year. We have been asked to host a gathering of new churches who are looking at offering Stephen s Ministries in their congregations. This could bring 150 individuals from around the world to our church.

Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report 5 Terri Ashworth Outreach Advocate (pg 19) - Terri highlighted some of the 15 current ministries we do with outreach including Channel One and Good Earth Village. She shared some research as to why outreach ministries fail, in general, and she is happy that at Hosanna our worship teams have meaning & purpose. Les Fullem - Support Advocate (pg 27) - Thank you to all the teams that do things to support our congregation. We ended the year with about $30,000 less than we budgeted for, but Pastor going onto Medicare, limiting the mortgage prepayments and conservative spending by the teams all helped keep us in the black. Thank you to Liz Coltom for her great work in the past. Support Teams are currently working on proposed changes for Personnel Handbook; new tiling in bathroom by gathering area; updating the website; new copier; Little Free Pantry. There is $10-12k left in the capital appeal - we may look at putting this towards a new parking lot, but this is not enough for the entire job. Fred Lust - Worship Advocate (pg 30) - Thanks to Nancy for helping get information together for the reports. The focus of worship planning is praising God through liturgy, music and His Word. Look at the annual report and see what all of the teams do who take part in planning worship both inside & outside our building. Thanks to Darcy for encouraging youth and children in worship with the Creation Station, Prayground and Home Worship kits. Committee Reports Business and Finance - Covered in Les s Support Advocate report. Properties Committee - Covered in Les s Support Advocate report. Memorials and Trust - This committee monitors all the designated gift accounts. It focuses on outreach in community, outreach in the world & capital improvements on the church building. Audit Committee The audit went smoothly thanks to Alice & Paul s hard work. Paul Anderson Financial Secretary (pg 37) - We are doing just fine financially. Alice Kub - Thank you to the congregation for making it an easy job. Karl Dirksen wants to highlight all the work Alice does for us, and he is pleased that Alice continues to do everything she does in such a wonderful way. Budget - The Personnel Committee approved a 5-hour increase in the Faith Formation Director s position, raising it to a 25 hour work week. The change in hours reflects the increasing responsibilities Darcy has taken on. This is reflected in the budget as proposed. Lisa King moved (Karl Dirksen seconded) the approval of the budget. Passed. Election of leaders - Thank you to the Nomination committee for the full ballot to vote into place this year. Noel Sederstrom moved (Terri Ashworth seconded) that we approve the ballot. Passed. Passing of gavel Ray passed the gavel to Laurie Maidl, and she took possession of his chair as well. She thanks Ray for her service and commitment. She also thanks the outgoing members of council and Laurie looks forward to working with the incoming members. Karl Dirksen moved (Lisa Nordman seconded) to adjourn. Passed. Adjourned the meeting at 1:05. Respectfully submitted, Rachel Gray Outgoing Council Secretary

6 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report SENIOR PASTOR Pastor Bill Meiers I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1: 3-5 St. Paul addressed this message to the Christian church in Philippi. He wrote this letter to inform this fledgling church that he would soon come and visit them. In preparation for his visit, Paul explained to them his understanding of the gospel. He repeatedly uses the word joy or rejoice every few paragraphs. When I look back on the year 2017, our ministry together here at Hosanna Lutheran Church is captured well in St. Paul s address in Philippians. Our life together in this community of faith is one of joy in our common faith in Jesus Christ and our common service in ministry and mission. When you read through this annual report for 2017, it is apparent that together we have served our Lord faithfully with an impressive amount of service and caring. Our congregational leadership has maintained our commitments to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, our Southeastern Minnesota Synod and multiple other outreach ministries, demonstrating our resolve to extending our horizons in support of the local and world wide mission of the church. Worship is what is unique to any religious community and it is the heartbeat of our congregation as well. The trend of worshipping communities across the United States indicates a decrease in attendance at worship services. Hosanna has not been immune from this trend. Although our congregation continues to grow our membership, our average attendance at worship both on Sunday and at our Weekday Vesper Services continues on a downward trend; our leadership and their staff seek ways of engaging with our members and the greater Rochester community to encourage participation in our worship life. Reaching out to embrace our brothers and sisters in Christ remains an urgent task for all of us who call Hosanna home. There was one change in our staffing for Charlie Bohlke had served as our custodian since August of Charlie retired in August of We thank Charlie for taking pride in keeping God s house in order for so many years. We were pleased to welcome Pam Lynch as Hosanna s custodian beginning in August of last year. I am truly blessed to be surrounded with our staff that brings such expertise, dedication, and professionalism to their callings as they serve Christ through the efforts of this congregation. To all who have shared in the ministry at Hosanna Lutheran Church in the year 2017, both young and old, thank you! May we move into this new year with confidence, hope and joy as we faithfully carry out the mission Christ has entrusted to us. Yours in Christ, Pastor Bill Meiers

8 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report DIRECTOR OF MUSIC AND WORSHIP Nancy Wales The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to human beings to let us know that we should praise God with both word and music, namely, by proclaiming the Word of God through music. Martin Luther Overview As 2017 drew to a close, so did the celebration of the 500 th Anniversary of the Reformation. I am amazed and grateful for the reformation work Martin Luther did in bringing to light the message of the Gospel and the changes in church practices. Being a church musician, I am thankful that Luther helped recover congregational singing. All God s people should rejoice in song together. I enjoy working with Hosanna s staff. They help make the days meaningful and joyful. A staff transition occurred when Charlie Bohlke, our custodian, retired and then we welcomed Pam Lynch to this position. It is important to remember what a significant position caring for and maintenance of the building is. Music Leadership and Music Ministry Teams My deepest appreciation goes to the gifted music leaders we have at Hosanna. They are a blessing to the music ministry teams and the entire congregation. Our sincere thank you is extended to these leaders: Organists/Service Accompanists: Cynthia McLaren, Christina Wood, Jon Davis, Nancy Wales Substitute: Ryan Hulshizer, Levi Livingood King's Ringers Handbell and Praise! Thank you for taking time to participate and for sharing your talents.. Exodus and Grace Worship Team Have a Change in Directors In November, Scott Strand stepped down as the director of Exodus Band and Grace Worship Team since Carol and Scott were moving to Fargo where Carol had accepted her first call to ministry. A reception was held on November 19 to thank them for their 35 years of service at Hosanna. During their years at Hosanna Carol directed the adult choir, began and directed the handbell groups (King s Ringers and Praise!), was one of the organist/service accompanists, was instrumental in the purchase of the grand piano, designed the cross grill work on pipe organ cabinets, created and painted the artwork in a picture and on the walls in the Sunday School rooms, and did her Pastoral Education here. Scott frequently played the guitar for worship services, was Council President and chairperson of Call Committees. Together they were music directors for one of the musicals and started and led Exodus Band and the Grace Worship team. What a blessing they were to Hosanna! We are fortunate that Catherine Davis was willing to lead Exodus and Grace Team in December and will continue at least through May. Catherine is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science, Teaching in Instrumental Music Education. After teaching music for two years, Catherine moved into the private sector working for a variety of organizations. Since 2004, Catherine has taught courses in management, leadership, teamwork, and communication at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) While teaching at RCTC, Catherine earned two masters degrees: Master of

Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report 9 Arts in Organization Management and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). She also serves on numerous committees and boards in the Rochester community. Catherine has remained involved in music, performing in various pit orchestras and big bands around Rochester. In addition, she has been a member of church praise teams and has a great appreciation for contemporary worship and music that is rooted in the Word. At Hosanna, Catherine has been a member of both Grace and Exodus, played sax with the Hosanna Choir, and performed a vocal solo with The King's Ringers. Worship - During this year, the sermons were recorded and uploaded to Hosanna s web site. This provides the opportunity to those absent or to persons searching for a church to hear the sermons. Previous sermons are kept on the web site so one can listen to the sermons again. In the E-news, the Prayer of the Day and the readings for the next Sunday are included to inform people of what will be the main theme in worship and give them the chance to read the lessons ahead of time. 10 10 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report Director of Faith Formation Darcy Youngstrom Discover, Discern, Design & Do is a four-step process that was introduced at Hosanna by Tom Schwolert (Vibrant Faith Coach) on Sept. 16 th -17 th during a fall informational meeting. Tom, who was hired to work as a coach with Hosanna from August 1, 2017 July 31, 2018, emphasized this implementation/evaluation process in his presentation Growing Faith in the 21 st Century. This four-step process is utilized in reporting on various areas of ministry that are not reflected elsewhere in this annual report. Basic descriptors of the four D s include: Discover Hosanna s current situation, seek to gain clarity in purpose, priorities, practices, attitudes and overall energy. Note strengths, challenges and opportunities for moving forward. Discern the ministries that are worth holding on to and those that are ripe for reinvention. Design new ways of being, thinking and doing. Do create/implement steps that will guide the ongoing actions/energies of staff, ministry leaders and volunteers. CONFIRMATION MINISTRY Discover/Discern: Four main points were acknowledged in the discover/discern stages for Confirmation: Strong adult volunteer leadership exists at Hosanna to support weekly Confirmation sessions. Confirmation camp is a highlight and faith developing setting for many youth. Serving others, as part of (and outside of) this ministry, is encouraged by both youth and adults. The importance of imaging (usually via smartphone) amongst youth has increased substantially over the past few years (some 79 percent of U.S year olds surveyed said they have a Snapchat (an app using imaging) account (Recode.net, Dec. 2017). Design/Do: Adult volunteers participated with our Confirmation youth at Good Earth Village. Small group discussions and mentoring with adult volunteers happened on a weekly basis throughout the school year. An opportunity was provided for the youth to implement their own fundraiser (baking/decorating cupcakes) with funds being donate to Bundles of Love the charity the group selected. Additionally, monthly service projects existed throughout the school year. Ninth grade preparation for Affirmation of Baptism worship was reviewed. Confirmation content was supported through imaging (The Visual Faith Project) which provided visual connection among participants. Additionally, youth took and selected images to pair with key prayers during a worship service during Lent (images were displayed on the screen in the sanctuary). Youth also selected (or took) images to connect with Bible verses throughout the year. CREATION STATION Discover/Discern: Hosanna wants to support and encourage all ages to worship together. Design/Do: During the latter part of 2017 the Creation Station became sustainable by the youth and children of Hosanna. Upper elementary, middle school and high school aged youth provided leadership in the Creation Station so that children can create and listen while their parent/guardian also engages in the sermon. Additionally, the Art for Others wall was established as an extension of the Creation Station. Each week children are encouraged to place whatever creations they have designed on this wall. Individuals are encouraged to take a child s creation to share with others. YOUNG ADULT CARE PACKAGES Discover/Discern: Support (spiritually and monetarily) for young adults continues at Hosanna. Design/Do: Care packages were mailed to young adults in the fall. Packages included prayers, Bible verses/readings, useful items etc. Adult volunteers helped to purchase items for the boxes and middle school youth made cards and packed the boxes for delivery. Twenty two packages were mailed out during the fall of WORSHIP OUTSIDE OF HOSANNA Discover/Discern: Opportunities to grow in faith life exist in various locations. Design/Do: Continued creation and availability of worship kits throughout the year. Kits for 2017 included: Holy Week At Home, Wherever You Go, You Can Worship (summer kit with Reformation Theme) and Stir Up Hot Chocolate/Prayer Kits during Advent. Respectfully submitted, Darcy Youngstrom Director of Faith Formation

12 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report COUNCIL PRESIDENT Laurie Maidl This past year has been a year of change and growth for Hosanna. I know it has been a great opportunity for me, as Council President, to learn more about Hosanna and all that takes place as we are gathered to grow and sent to serve. There were many activities for all ages, both inside and outside the walls of the church. I would like to highlight just a few of the things that took place. Some of the activities are new to us and others have been done in the past. You will find out more about these activities as you read through the annual report was the 500 th Anniversary of Martin Luther s Reformation. Hosanna celebrated this anniversary with worship, education and fellowship events. Lenten services focused on Luther s Small Catechism, which was a good review of the basics of our Christian faith. Helping Hands Pantry was built to provide food and personal items for people 24/7 without having to enter the church. The pantry can be filled by anyone members or neighbors. Hosanna members are helping staff Community Food Response North which is an off-shoot of the program at Bethel. Intergenerational musical Rescue in the Night about Daniel and his courage and obedience to God was presented. Hosanna contracted with Tom Schwolert from Vibrant Faith Ministry to help our congregation identify the challenges and opportunities available as we seek to grow our faith in this changing world. Our custodian of 9 years, Charlie Bohlke, retired in August, and we hope he is doing well. We then welcomed Pam Lynch, a Hosanna member, as our new custodian. We appreciate all she does for the church as she works her schedule around the many events taking place each day. God s Work. Our Hands. Sunday on September 10 was once again very successful as we made fleece hats, put together 6 can soup packages, installed smoke and CO detectors plus several other activities. All of these things were accomplished in just a few hours by many people. Hosanna became the Chartering Organization for Cub Scout Pack 110 and Boy Scout Troop 110. Andre Kub is the Chartering Representative for this organization. Carol Strand completed seminary and was ordained at Hosanna on November 19. Carol and Scott have now relocated to Fargo, North Dakota where she has her first congregation. Catherine Davis has agreed to lead Grace and Exodus through May It is great to see this music ministry continue. I would like to thank our staff and the council for their support and service to Hosanna. All of your hard work helps to make Hosanna a progressive congregation. And thank you for making this past year as Hosanna Council President such a positive experience for me. Respectfully submitted, Laurie Maidl

Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report 15 WEEKLY SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERING The sponsorship of Baby, from India, was completed in May as she concluded the program. The Sunday school team made the decision to use the offerings for the school year to local charities and needs within our community. The fall Sunday school offering (plus additional congregational donations), of approximately $475.00, was given to Gage Elementary school to help eliminate school lunch debt. The 2017 Sunday school Ministry Team members include: Deanna Jesus (chair), Mandi Mora, Nancy Wales, and Darcy Youngstrom Respectfully submitted, Deanna Jestus YOUTH TEAM The Hosanna youth ministry for 2017 continues to thrive and be a vital part of Hosanna. The youth team along with students, teachers and parents are working together to provide service, faith based and fellowship opportunities to the high school youth. Hosanna s youth are busy not only in the church but outside the walls of Hosanna. The Hosanna youth continue to make service a part of their everyday life. The youth through Hosanna, their schools and outside interests have participated in Christmas Anonymous, Bear Creek Services, Salvation Army, Channel One, Bundles of Love, Samaritan Bethany escorts, Sunday School helpers, Susan Suppers, Hosanna s Channel One pantry and many more. As you can tell, our youth are out in the community being the hands and heart of Christ. They are also busy with studies, choir, band, orchestra and athletics. Throughout their busy lives, we continue to focus on providing a faith foundation that will help them through life, a safe place to talk about their lives and support each other. Our high school huddle group on Sunday morning is a place for conversation, laughter and time to get to know our Lord Jesus. In 2018, we are getting ready to attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering in Houston, TX. The theme for the gathering is This Changes Everything which is based on Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing: it is a gift from God. Grace is a foundational and distinctive piece of the Lutheran faith. This gift, undeserved and freely given, changes lives and perspectives as people realize they are enough because of what Christ has done and are called into the world to serve their neighbor and share the good news. Our group of 10 (8 students and 2 chaperones) will be preparing to make the trip to Houston. We will be fundraising, praying, studying and gathering to make our way down to Houston. It should also be noted that we have members of our congregation who have attended the gathering with Hosanna and are now volunteers for the gathering in Houston. Danielle Koster, Dawn Koster and Andrew Neshem will be assisting in Houston. Our group hopes to meet up with them! Keep your eye on newsletters for opportunities to help our youth! It has been a blessing that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of Hosanna s youth program. Hosanna s staff, parents, congregation members and youth have been a continual inspiration for faith building. As it has been said, it takes a village to raise a child. Thank you Hosanna Lutheran for being a faithful, loving village to our youth. Respectfully Submitted, Barbara Schepp

16 Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report BOOK DISCUSSION Anyone who enjoys reading is welcome to attend Hosanna s monthly book discussion group. In 2017, the group met on the third Saturday of the month at 9:00 am from January May and September November. From 6 10 people attended each month, and others read along with the group but didn t attend the sessions. Members take turns providing coffee and treats. The discussion is informal and it s not necessary to finish the book before attending the sessions. Often questions found at the end of each book or on the internet aid in the discussion. The books varied from classics, to non-fiction to popular fiction. A reading list for summer was also suggested. The books read in 2017 included: The Girl on the Train by Paul Hawkins Mansfield Park by Jane Austen The Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Zafon The Relic Master by Christopher Buckley Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman Respectfully submitted, Barb Anderson HANNAH BIBLE STUDY The Hannah Bible Study met on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 1:00-2:30pm except for the summer months. We are using the Gather Magazine the magazine of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for our study. In December we helped provide items, assembled 25 boxes of treats and delivered them to Hosanna members. The annual Christmas luncheon followed and staff was invited for great food, fellowship and special readings. This year for our annual offering, we discussed all the hurricanes and fires that impacted so many, and decided to give to Lutheran Disaster Response. $1,275 was sent to bring God s hope, healing and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters. Respectfully Submitted, Lisa Nordman JOYCE ELIZABETH AND TOM BANDEL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is for Hosanna youth parishioners that attend a Lutheran college. It is funded by an endowment that exists in perpetuity, with the earnings being utilized for scholarship awards. This year we had our first two recipients of this award, Danielle Koster and David Will, who are attending Luther College. This year s award was for $500 which was matched by Luther s EPIC scholarship fund program. Hosanna thanks the Bandels for their gracious gift to set up this endowment for their youth. Respectfully submitted, Jim Hansen. LITTLE LAMBS Little Lambs has gone through some changes in the school year. We are now using a preschool curriculum from Sparkhouse called Frolic. This program introduces the littlest children to the Bible in a fun and interactive way. There are coordinating books, finger plays, art projects and parental involvement to help our 3 year olds learn about Jesus. We have this group meeting in the nursery with the 0-2 year olds so that all little ones can be as involved as they feel comfortable. The 3 year olds participate in music with the pre-k and k classes as well.

Hosanna Lutheran Church 2017 Annual Report 17 LUTHERAN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS The scholarship for Hosanna students attending an ELCA College was awarded to two students this year, Danielle Koster and David Will. Both Danielle and David are attending Luther College. The scholarship award amount remained the same as previous years at $500 per student. Luther College has a matching program for scholarships given from ELCA churches which effectively doubles the award students receive. Funds for this scholarship come from a budget line item and one Lenten soup supper each year. Respectfully submitted, Jim Hansen. MEN S BREAKFAST BIBLE STUDY The Men s Breakfast Bible Study Group met twice a month during the school year on the second and fourth Friday mornings at 6:30 a.m. During the year we also held one fundraising event. The fall fundraiser was the Walter Volberding Memorial Pancake breakfast held on Sunday, October 22nd. This event raised $470. A total of $740 was donated to ELCA Disaster Relief. The Men s Breakfast Bible Study Group wants to thank the congregation for supporting our fundraiser. We invite all Hosanna men to join us at our Friday meetings. We enjoy good food, wonderful fellowship, and a thoughtful Bible study. It is a great way to begin the day. Respectfully Submitted, Paul Anderson and Karl Dirksen PASTOR S EVENING BIBLE STUDY The Pastor s Evening Bible Study Group met on Thursday evenings during January and September thru November. The group studied the book of Jeremiah in January and the Pauline letters of 1 & 2 Corinthians and Galatians from September-December. We will continue the study of Ephesians during January There were 17 Hosanna members who participated in one or both of the studies. Respectfully Submitted, Paul Anderson WOMEN S MORNING BIBLE STUDY The monthly Women s Morning Bible Study Group meets on the first Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. We have a time of fellowship and coffee before beginning our study from the Gather Magazine. We invite all ladies and their friends to join us. For more information call Sandy Respectfully Submitted, Sandy Henslin VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL VBS was another busy week filled with crafts, stories, songs, outdoor game time, interactive Bible lessons and snacks. The theme this year was Rome. We had a marketplace for the kids to visit each day with different crafts like shields and mosaics. Even the adults joined in making their own take-home craft projects. We had a showcase of songs on Friday for the parents to watch. There were about 25 teen and adult volunteers and about 35 children this year.

A great deal of flour and potatoes were made into tasteless flat bread (a great Norwegian treat). It was a wonderful time for snacking and fellowship. A portion of the lefse was packaged and sold the following Sunday and the $ proceeds were donated to ELCA World Hunger. A special thank you to Terry Rasmussen who set up the power cords so no people or circuit breakers were tripped. Respectfully Submitted, Karla Weis, Steph Stevens, and Paul Anderson LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS I would like to thank everyone who participated in making Hosanna s 2017 Annual Lenten Soup Suppers so successful by donating their time, treasure, and talent. Without the following groups and individuals, making and delivering food, setting up or cleaning up, it would have been impossible to serve and feed the hordes of Hosanna members, who attended the weekly suppers. Thanks again to: Hosanna Youth & Parents, Confirmation Youth, Men s Breakfast Group, and numerous individual members. The ministry raised $1,102, which was donated to Hosanna Youth Program, ELCA Missionary and Channel One. Respectfully Submitted, Paul Anderson SANDLOT/WOMEN S VOLLEYBALL Sandlot Volleyball was played on Tuesdays, 7:00 8:30 p.m., from July 25 th to August 29 th. At Essex Park.
