Wade into the news. Pro-abortion groups are pulling out all the stops to urge the U.S. Senate to reject any nominee who does not promise to publicly endorse Roe and they are misrepresenting the legal and social reality of what would happen if it is overturned. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops does not support or oppose the confirmation of any presidential nominee. From Friday, August 3, 2018 to Friday, September 28, 2018, the weekly Call to Prayer will be adapted as a nine-week Novena for the Legal Protection of Human Life. In addition to the current invitation to fast on Fridays, participants are encouraged to pray one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be for the intention of the novena. I m so blessed that I got to be a part of it. ~ Hannah Hanlon Working with Habitat for Humanity was such an amazing experience for me. Having the opportunity to help build a house for someone is something I ll never forget. ~ Katie Baker The next Red Cross Blood Drive is from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 14 in the South Social Hall. All blood types are needed. Each donation can help save up to 3 lives! Please help save a life and donate blood. Walk-ins are also welcome. At the June Blood Drive, 28 units were collected. When parishioners and school families buy Scrip, they are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, gifts, and other essentials. Every scrip purchase earns revenue for the school. Scrip order forms can be found on the parish website under Giving to St. Anthony and in the back of church on the book rack. The next Scrip order is due Friday, August 17. Please place your completed order form and a check made out to St. Anthony PTO in an envelope labeled SCRIP and return it to the school office or drop into the Sunday collection.
