St. Francis Chapel. All High School families are invited to attend Awards Night as we recognize outstanding high school students in the Deanery. Awards being presented: CJ Smith Memorial Award, Outstanding leadership, Fr. Tom Stumph Excellence in Leadership Scholarship, Dean Kraemer Spirit of Hope Scholarship, and CJ Smith Service Above Self Scholarship. Reception to follow. 5K Friar Run, 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk Saturday, May 12. NEW ALTERNATIVE ENDING! Race/Walk begins at 8:30 am. The 5K will be an off-road run at Mt. St. Francis. The 1-mile will be accessible for strollers and/or wagons so bring the whole family. Cost is $20 per runner. Go to nadyouth.org to register. Scroll down to EVENTS and click on the 5K Friar Run. COMMUNITY EVENTS Bishop Bruté Days is held at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis. This retreat is for young men, who will be in grades 9-12 the following school year, who are seeking to grow closer to Christ, and who may be open to the possibility of a vocation to the priesthood. The retreat on June gives young men the opportunity to spend three days with the Bishop Bruté college seminarians learning about prayer, service, scripture, and the awesome gift of our Catholic faith. A new program this year is Bishop Bruté Days Jr. This one day experience will be held June 28 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and is for young men who are in junior high (7th-8th grade). It is designed to focus more on general discernment and serve as an introduction to Bishop Brute Seminary. For more information and to register go to HearGodsCall.com. Saint Anthony Bears 7/8 Grade Deanery Track & Field Champs 11 years straight! Clark County Catholic Football Clinic Learn the rules of football, formations, blocking, tackling, special teams, discipline, teamwork, respect, sportsmanship and faith! FREE non-contact clinic for kids who will be in K-6 grade for the Fall 2018 school year. May 6, 12, and 20 from 6:00 7:30 pm. Held on the field by the football locker and Parish Gym. Next year s Bears Football Coaching Staff will run the Clinic. Skill Set: Bachelor s degree in Theology, Catechetics, Evangelization or related studies, 3 years in pastoral ministry experience, strong communication skills; mission and vision oriented; networking and relationship building, ministry and programming acumen.
