It was breathtaking to see so many people come to celebrate with me. We spent nearly thirty years together and in that time we shared so many, many life experiences together, some joyous, some sad, and I will always be grateful to you for allowing me to share so many special moments in your lives. Serving at Blessed Sacrament has truly been a blessing for me and I hope for you too. This celebration was completely Father Rick s idea and I am truly grateful to him for honoring me in this way. Thanks also to Patty Marshall and her staff for all the work they did to make the day so memorable for me. I know it took a lot of people working to make the day so successful and I m grateful to you all. I was greatly humbled by the number of people who presented me with such generous gifts. Thank you one and all! But thank you especially for the love you shared with me. I ll always keep that in my heart! Msgr. This month is Christmas and we will provide families with a Christmas basket. If you are not using your free turkey or ham from Shop Rite, please consider donating it to the church. 3 ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY The mission of the Society is to honor the Blessed Mother by proclaiming the Good News of Christ, her Son, in our members' lives and in rela onships with others; to promote the praying of the Rosary; to encourage a spirit of friendship and coopera on among its members and to par cipate in parish ac vi es. The December mee ng of the Rosary Altar Society will be a "Christmas Tea". It will be held on Wednesday, December 13th, at 1PM downstairs in the Parish Hall. We have invited the CCW to join us. Rosary Altar Society members who plan to a end are asked to bring tea sandwiches or a dessert. Please call Jean Mans ( ) by Friday, December 8th, if you plan to a end. NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! Parish Organizations and Info OUR LADY ROSARY MAKERS Please join us as we make rosaries sent to missions around the world. It is fun, easy, inexpensive and very rewarding! We meet in the Conference Room on the second Tuesday of each month following the 9am Mass and Rosary. VOCATIONS TRAVELING CHALICE PROGRAM The Voca on Seekers give special thanks to Ana Cabral, who took the voca ons traveling chalice home and prayed for Voca ons, par- cularly for seminarians in the Diocese of Metuchen. Please consider taking the chalice home to pray for voca ons. Your prayers are truly being answered! We especially need volunteers for January. Please sign up in the foyer and pick up and return the Voca on Traveling Chalice to the foyer. REMINDER - please remember to take the chalice on your selected date and return it by noon on Saturday. For THANK YOU! Thanks to all the Blessed Sacrament parishioners who supported the fight for life for unborn children by participating in the New Jersey Right to Life raffle during the weekends of October 21/22 and 28/29. The people of Blessed Sacrament showed their generosity and support by raising $2,220! That was one of the largest totals for any parish in the county. Oddly enough, this year the winner of the first prize $43,000 SUV was a Florida resident. Once again, on behalf of New Jersey Right to Life, thank you for your generous support of the unborn, and especially to Father Rick who, year after year, allows the raffle to take place in his parish. 4

ANNUAL JESSE TREE The Jesse Tree Holiday Gi Program is a great success again this year. Over 400 Christmas requests were delivered to local chari es. None of this would be possible without the overwhelming generosity of the Parishioners of Blessed Sacrament. The homeless have warm clothing for the winter, Children of Jail inmates have toys for Christmas, needy families will have holiday meals and pots to cook them in, and new mothers are prepared to welcome their babies born in Santa a ended the Diocese party with presents for the disabled. Mass Intention Cards Mass intention cards are available in the Parish Office during normal hours, but not when Religious Education classes are in session: Mondays 4PM 6PM; Tuesdays 4PM 9PM and Thursdays 4:30PM 6PM.
