The Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome is a sign of unity for all Catholics. But these grand buildings are important because they are where God s people gather in praise. SCRIPTURE READINGS Ezekiel 47:1-2, 8-9, 12: God s restored temple will be a source of abundant life. 1 Corinthians 3:9-11, 16-17: You are God s temple, built on the foundation of Christ. John 2:13-22: Jesus, God s temple, cannot be destroyed. A REMINDER FROM THE CEMETERY Please remove all Summer decorations from the cemetery. Praying the Scriptural Rosary will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 6:30 p.m. The 7:30 business meeting will be conducted in the parish center adjoining the church. Current pro-family legislation, report on the 40-Day Prayer Campaign and upcoming events will be on the agenda. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer for an end to abortion. PARISH BOOK OF THE MONTH Great Men and Women of the Bible By: Stephen Fortosis Many books of the Bible are titled with names of specific people who were important in God s ministry. God wished to demonstrate his character to the whole world through these people. Who are these people who lived so long ago? What is their story? What are we to learn from them? The author of the book, Great Men and Women of the Bible, devotes two or three pages to each person about whom he writes. He reveals the personalities in their human responses to God. Next, Stephen Fortosis shares God s meaningful message that we are to understand through these faithful followers. Lastly, specific scripture passages are listed wherever this holy man or woman s name appears in the Bible. You will enjoy getting to know each of these people and maybe see a little of your own personality in some of them. This book may be found in the Parish Library under the title, Holy Men and Women. The library is located in the lower level of the church.

4 ST. MARY Thank you to ALL who participated in the J-Wag Photo Fundraiser. We raised over $900.00! This money will be donated to the St. Mary School Fund. Thank You!! Thank you to all who volunteered at the Pancake/ Sausage Breakfast last Sunday. Everything was wonderful!! St. Mary School will be honoring our Veterans on Monday, November 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the school gym. All are welcome to attend. There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veteran s Day. Market Day regular orders and PIE ORDERS are due on Wednesday, November 12. You can still order at or by calling the school office. Orders must be picked up on Monday, November 17. Please help support St. Mary School! CALLING ALL ADULTS AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS! The 2015 Annual MARCH FOR LIFE will be held from the evening of January 20 to the morning of January 25. This includes the Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, a private Mass with Bishop Paprocki at St. Peter s on Capitol Hill, and the March for Life protesting abortions on the streets in Washington D. C. Other visits will be to the Shrine of St. John Paul II, Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Lands, and the Holocaust Memorial. The bus fare, hotel stays, and several meals will be included in one price. Show your support for Life through your actions and prayers. PEACE MEAL DELIVERY If you can give one hour of one day during the week of November to help with the meal delivery, please sign the calendar located on the bulletin board in the back of church.
