He has been traveling in an itinerant ministry for over 20 years. 2 In all the messages he preaches, Ron gives a clear explanation and invitation for people to be saved. His philosophy of ministry is very simple...when Christians behave what they profess to believe, evangelism will be a natural by-product. It s Ron s personal conviction that preaching the Word of God, through the power of His Holy Spirit, can bring true revival. He believes the Bible is able to accomplish this task because it is inerrant, infallible, and totally inspired by God. Ron believes that unbelievers need to see the church obeying the words of the Savior and this belief has given him a burning burden to see true believers become courageous, contagious, servants for Christ. He died, rose again, that we might have eternal life. Jesus is our Wonderful Savior!

2 THE.ROB.BLOG By the time you read this the birth of our first grandchild will be just days perhaps hours away. I know for some of you this is old hat but this is new to us. There was a time when Jonesy and I didn t think we could have kids and then God blessed us with a litter. So to think that one of those miracle boys is about to be a dad himself is pretty cool. It makes me reflect on that night when da boys were born. There was such excitement! There was a whole room of medical types helping get those children out of their cramped environment (6 lbs 8 oz & 6 lbs 9 oz/18 and 19 inches) and into the big ol world. Outside of that room was another room filled with Davises and Joneses who were being anything but quiet. And then it happened just like our doctor said it would. The section went well with no complications. (I watched it all and still can t believe I did!!!) There they were! And everything changed! We had gone from single to married to parents to responsible. That was an overwhelming feeling. Yep. Those handsome lads were yours to take home and raise and nurture and feed and change their BAD diapers. That part I think I had overlooked. Now, as grandparents it begins again. While we will be one step back from the daily care we will always be there to step in with whatever physical, emotional, material, and spiritual resources we possess. It will be overwatch not front line stuff but nevertheless needed. As I ponder these things I am keenly aware of our Great Commission task to, well birth Kingdom children. The excitement and anticipation of my boys birth pales in comparison to the heavenly ruckus that happens when someone is saved. A new birth gets everyone s attention there. Why? Luke 15:10 tells us that there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. But wait. In the presence of the angels? Who is so overthetop excited? The Father Himself!! Would you like to be...a part of something like that?? Hopefully, you have taken seriously our 20/1 event. Part of the days were to be spent asking God for one person you can witness to or, at the very least, bring with you on Sunday, April 6. Just think how beside yourself you will be when that individual confesses their need for Christ and you see them make a public decision. It can happen. We didn t think we could have kids. You may not think you can be instrumental in a person going to heaven. But here s the verse God gave me before we found out we (loosely used) were pregnant. To Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us. (Eph. 3:20) It can happen. It should happen. It will happen if you allow yourself to act on what you know. So, by the time you read this our revival will be a few days perhaps hours away. How exciting is that?! Maybe babies everywhere you look. Your new granddaddy of a pastor, Rob FBC Kids Compete in AWANA Bible Quiz This past February 21st, four children from First Baptist Church competed in the annual AWANA Bible Quiz at Crow Mountain Baptist Church in Russellville, Arkansas. Adam Byler and Danielle Roberts competed as a team in Ultimate Adventure Book 1 and received a 3rd place ribbon. Jay Lenex also competed in Book 1 and finished in 4th as a team by himself. Madelyn Still competed in Ultimate Adventure Book 2 and received a 3rd place ribbon. Quizzers at the event represented churches from Vilonia, Ozark, Clarksville, and Harrison. They were judged on their ability to quote scripture and answer spiritual and theological questions related to the current AWANA material. Congratulations!

3 WHAT S HAPPENING in FBCH STUDENT MINISTRY? Thanks to all the help and support for our two recent Youth Pancake and Sausage Fundraisers. We had a great time serving and fellowshipping with all we came to support this endeavor. We have started making some headway to minimize some expenses for our Ski Spring Break trip for Young Christians Weekend was another great time this year for our students. We had around 30 or more attend this year s event. Everyone had a great time in Silver Dollar City. They were also challenged and encouraged by the worship rallies each day. ROC Ministry Adventure Club 2014 Adventure Club is just around the corner. If you would like for your child to attend summer camp this year, please call the church office and reserve a spot today. Ages are 5 years old by June 1-completed 6 th grade. Day camp days are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-2:30 p.m. Scholarships Needed: Last year we gave over 24 scholarships to those less fortunate to attend camp. We would like to be able to give out 25 scholarships this summer. Cost for a scholarship will be $ per child for them to attend two days a week for 8 weeks (all summer). Scholarships need to be received no later than May 15th. Adventure Club is the only way that some children will ever hear about Jesus. Won t you reach out today by giving a scholarship. You will be blessed! Disciple Now falls on April 2-6 this year. We are excited about a little change in the structure this year with a rally on the first night at Minnie Harris Park. The theme for DNOW this year is BOOST which represents our verse that talks about Jesus becoming greater and us becoming less (John 3:30). Please be in prayer as this event is taking place. Pray for our band, speaker, small group leaders, and the students that attend. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW!!! Also, on April 6th, you may register your child at the ministry desk for drawings for prizes that will be given at the Easter Egg Hunt.

God has always blessed me with a wonderful staff and volunteers that love and have a heart for children. However, God has opened a door for me to use my extensive experience in fundraising with the Goblin Booster Club. Beginning April 1st, I will be the Executive Director for the NARMC Foundation; therefore, I will be resigning my part time position as Director of Preschool Ministries which will include all preschool ministries at FBC including Nursery, Sunday School, Mother s Day Out, Adventure Club and Pumpkin Patch to name a few. I am very excited about this new position at NARMC and stage of my life. It is a wonderful opportunity for me and my family that I couldn t pass up. I am so grateful to the parents over all these years who have entrusted me with your children. It has been such a joy to see their sweet little faces each week as they march into church. I have had so many children that started in Mother s Day Out, went to Adventure Club and started working for me in MDO or Adventure Club as they got older. Some have even gone on into Preschool or Youth Ministry as well as Elementary Education. I would like to think I had a part in that. Please know that I love you all and am so thankful for such a supportive church family. I will still attend First Baptist as a church member and always continue to hold on to the wonderful memories I have made with the children. I m sure, if I hear a baby crying in church, my first reaction will be to jump and help them. I guess some things will never change. In His love and mine, Ms. Kim
