3 THE VIEW FROM RIVER VIEW PAGE 3 Education Ministry Ministry Leader - Gary Barker Purpose of Education Ministry 1. Reach people 2. Teach people 3. Minister to people 2018 Sunday Bible Study High Attendance: 88 Spring Time is just around the corner. The weather lately is a lot like our lives. Hot one day & cold the next. We get weary from the constant changes back and forth. When we think of our walk with the Lord we have many changes in our lives. We are told to be In Christ, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1. What does it mean to be in Christ Jesus? The best explanation I have heard is to think of Noah in the ark. The ark was waterproof because scripture tells us Noah followed God s direction to put pitch on the inside & outside of the ark in Genesis chapter 6. The word pitch in Hebrew means atonement. So, we are in Jesus as Noah was in the ark. The storms of God s wrath beat on the ark & the storms of God s wrath beat on Jesus on the cross. But we are on the inside & not one drop of judgement can reach us. Read Romans 8: Scripture tells us that nothing can separate us from His love. Thank Him for His Blessed Atonement! Please consider your walk with Him! It is strengthened through interaction with other believers on a regular basis. In His Name Bro. 4 THE VIEW FROM RIVER VIEW PAGE 4 Elaine Hammond - Treasurer For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 Did you vote YES for the budget? Please realize that when you vote YES, you are promising to support that budget with your tithes and offerings. Our church family s giving in recent months has been below normal. Here is a summary: December Contributions were $4, short of the budget. January Contributions were $3, short of the budget. February Contributions for the first 3 weeks are $2, short of the budget. Remember, when you support other missions that should be above & beyond your support of the church budget. Have you missed church because you have been sick or on vacation? Please remember to give your tithes and offerings to the church when you return. Monthly and weekly bills continue for the church just like at anyone s house. Please pray about your responsibility to your faith and your finances as we continue to reach our community, state, nation, and world with the gospel of Jesus! YTD (Jan) 2018 Undesignated Receipts: $20, Budget Needs: $23, Total Offerings: $22, YTD (Jan) 2018 Cooperative Program: $2, Total Missions Giving: $3, Weekly budget needs for 2018 are $5,773 each week.

6 VOLUME 11 ISSUE 2 THE VIEW FROM RIVER VIEW PAGE 6 The Building and Grounds Team are working toward the remodeling of building B and an overall master plan of all buildings. We have met with another architect and builder. They will be working over the next month to measure and make drawings of our existing buildings. Once they have these completed, they will bring back some ideas for us to discuss. After these discussions, they will be able to come up with a concept drawing for our church family to see. We are still on track to have building B completed by the end of the year. We just want to make sure that we have a master plan. Without the master plan, we would stand the possibility of wasting money and having to redo things. Please stay in prayer for the building team and this project. We want to make sure that all decisions are coming from our Lord. Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. CCDW Training April 14, 2018 See Dave Bell to sign up April 8th 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM RVBC Gym
