The committee has been hard at work and we would like to update you on our progress. The job description for the position can be found on the home page at netherwoodpark.com (scroll down to the heading Youth and Family Minister ).The position has been advertised on several Christian university job boards, Indeed.com, LinkedIn, the Netherwood Facebook page, and The Christian Chronicle monthly newspaper. In addition, we ve attempted to spread information about the open position through word of mouth. So far, our efforts have resulted in 25 candidates being considered for the position. We have reviewed resumes and conducted several interviews. At this time, we are still receiving applications and reviewing candidates. We continue to meet regularly and work through our process with the qualified applicants. We request several things from you, the members of Netherwood Park. Please continue to pray daily that God would lead us to the person He has selected to fill this position. Please also renew your efforts to spread the word about the open position. We do not intend to stop looking for additional candidates until the position has been offered and accepted. We will be patient to ensure, as best we can, that the person hired for the job will be a good fit. 2 Netherwood News The Senior Connection is available to be picked up at the Welcome Booth. Be sure to read the short story about June Barber by Bill Williams. Netherwood is seeking to fill the vacant Youth and Family Minister position. Children s Worship today for children 2 years old through Kindergarten. For those interested in helping with the Impact Houston Mission Trip in June, there will be an informational meeting today after 2nd service in the East Fellowship Hall. If you have questions contact Kyle or Kathy Whittenberg. Women of Truth Bible study is Tuesday, January 24th at 5:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. Ladies Bible Class is Thursday, January 26th. The Annual Albuquerque Christian Children s Home Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, February 18th in the Vo-tech Building at the ACCH campus. The cost is $5.00 per adult, children 6-12 $3.00 and under 6 is free. The Albuquerque Christian Children s Home is seeking a Development Director. You will work with the Director and Board of Directors to formulate and implement a comprehensive development program to maintain and expand all sources of funding to meet ACCH s annual budget. Specific projects may include annual fundraising events, board development, planned giving, major gift solicitation and foundation / corporate grants, and our newsletter publications. Israel is starting to form into an organized nation and needs guidance. Eli and Samuel provide foundations for the establishment of Israel as a nation as well as King Saul. We will look at the successes and failures of Israel's leaders. We will explore the deep, rich meaning in 1st and 2nd Samuel and bring out what Yahweh's will is for Israel as well as for us today.
