Don t lose sight of our theme, but let's change gears for just a moment and ponder that. When we accepted Christ and were baptized into him, we put him on and received the gift of the Spirit and bailed out of the ship of sin! At first we felt and knew we were walking on water, then the world attacked. Like Peter, we began to sink and struggle with our faith. But as with Peter, Jesus, the body of Christ, the church, reaches out to pull us out of the tangles of seaweed and away from the creatures of the dark deep and back into the glorious light and life of Christ. He calms the crashing sea of sin and renews our spirit so we again can venture out into that world so full of sin and doubt. We can t ever forget our adversary the devil walks about seeking whom he may devour. We may sink down some, but as long as our eyes are on Jesus we will always have that hand of friendship, rescue, love, and salvation within grasp and ready to pull us out of the sin that so easily besets us. 2 Netherwood News You can sign up for a picture appointment today after service by the Coffee Bar. The picture days are April 7th & 8th and April 14th & 15th. The Albuquerque Christian Children s Home is accepting applicants for a part-time Summer Intern for about 24 hours a week during business hours and maybe some evenings. Must be at least 21 years of age, be able to pass a background check, have a heart for children and love the Lord. Send your cover letter of interest, along with 3 character references, and your resume to Sharon Roberson at sroberson@acch4kids.org. We are in need of 15 1/2 ounce (vegetable cans) and large paper grocery bags. Please leave them in the Teacher s Supply Room. Thank you! Children s Worship today for children 2 years old through Kindergarten. Bake Sale today at the Coffee Bar before Bible Class to support the Impact Houston Mission Trip Members. Please come by and enjoy a sweet treat and support some amazing students! This is the time of year when the Christian Student Center holds their annual Pack the Pan. The food collected will be taken to the Manuelito Navajo Children's Home (MNCH). Participants will receive an empty aluminum pan or two with lids and instructions. Pack the Pan crews will be distributing pans, instructions and food safety guides today and April 1st. They will collect on the morning of April 8th and deliver to the home. Other donations such as gift cards, cash, feminine products, toiletries, etc. are welcome as well. Thank you! The Women of Truth will meet on March 27th. We are studying the book of Joshua. Thursday Ladies Bible Class is March 29th. Babysitting is provided. There will be an Easter Egg hunt after Sunday morning Bible class on April 1st for ages 0-5. 6 Romans: More Than Conquerors Romans 8:28-39 Paul s victory chapter: Romans 8 celebrates a victory won, but not yet fully realized. Paul s Question: How can we be that the victory will be? Paul s answer: We can be confident because. How is God for us? In all things he is working for the of those who obey him out of love. John 14:21 2. God set his ahead of time on those who will love and obey him (foreknew). 3. God set a in advance for those who will love and obey him - they will be conformed to Jesus likeness (predestined). 4. God pronounced in advance for those who will love and obey him - they will be declared righteous and blameless (justified). 5. God pronounced a in advance for those who will love and obey him - they will be glorified - made perfect in body and soul. 6. God will in taking care of those who love and obey him - he didn t even spare his own son. 7. God will allow nothing to those who love and obey him - any one wishing to condemn will have to do so over Christ s once dead, but now resurrected body. 8.
