MUMC Director of Student Ministries Cory Phillips will provide information on some the recent student activities and missions. All women are encouraged to participate! HELPERS NEEDED AT MADCAAP GARDEN Can you give a few hours a week to the MadCAAP garden? Corn, tomatoes, squash, peas and peppers were added to the 100 Food Boxes that MadCAAP distributes every Monday morning. Your hours in the garden help to provide nutritious vegetables for children, adults and the elderly! Regular Weekday Volunteers Needed. Work 1 Day for an hour or two. 7 KIDS MINISTRY Renee Scales or WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN This fall our Wednesday nights will look a little different for our 1 st -6 th graders! Some Wednesday nights will be Big Events & some nights we will have center activities! But all Wednesday nights will begin with Praise Time in the Multipurpose Room at 6:15 p.m.! Volunteers are needed to help with Praise Time, Centers (games, art, etc.), shepherds, & Big Events. Fall plans for our Preschool classes (2 ½ years old K5) will include SonBeams Choir, Bible stories, games, art, & other fun surprises! Volunteers are needed for all age groups! September 5 Blessing of the Backpacks for all KIDS Classes September 12 KIDS Choirs Start BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 All children (2 ½ - 6 th grade) are encouraged to bring their backpack (preschool bag, lunch box, dance bag, etc.) on Wednesday, September 5! Join us for a fun night of celebrating back to school! These backpacks are our children s constant companions as they go about their school days, so we would like to bless them. Our prayer is that they will be reminded God is with them in their daily life & that their church family will be praying for them throughout the year KIDS MINISTRY CONTACT INFORMATION SHEET This information sheet is now available on our website ( It is important for us to know about allergies and have emergency contact information! KIDS CHOIRS START TO BEGIN Beginning on September 5 our SonShine Choir will meet from 5:45-6:10 p.m. in the Choir Room. After practice, choir leaders will take the singers to the Multi-purpose Room for Wednesday night KIDS activities. The SonBeams Choir for 2 ½ year olds K5 will begin on September 12. Choir leaders come to their classrooms during class time (6:15-7:00 p.m.) to sing with them.
