There are multiple ways to present your tithes, offerings, and gifts to MUMC. You may continue to place your cash or checks in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. But you can also contribute electronically through the church s app (search Madison umc on your app store) or by clicking on the give tab on the MUMC website ( You can make a one-time donation (such as a memorial) or you can sign up for automatic recurring donations. The church is assessed a small user fee each time this method is used. Another option is to use the online bill pay service offered free by most banks. We will also have Electronic Giving receipts in the pews so that your or your children will have a tangible sign of worship to place into the offering plate after you have made a gift.

6 KIDS MINISTRY Renee Scales or PUT THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR & WATCH FOR DETAILS KIDS MINISTRY LEADERSHIP TEAM KIDS Ministries Leadership Team and all KIDS Ministries volunteers, join us on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Christian Life Center (CLC) for Christmas ornament painting & pot-luck dinner. CHRISTMAS FAMILY FUN NIGHT It s a fun family night! Bring your chairs and blankets and meet us for Christmas music at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1 at Belhaven University for their Singing Christmas Tree. Before the concert, we will meet at Sal and Mookie for a Dutch treat dinner. KIDS CHOIRS The SonBeam Choir (Younger 2 s K5 who meet on Wednesday nights) will sing the Call to Worship at both services on Sunday, December 3. Both the Sonbeam (Younger 2 s K5) and Sonshine (1 st 6 th graders who practice on Wednesday nights) Choirs will present their Christmas Music Program, on Wednesday, December 6 th at 6:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS Preschoolers (Older 2 s K5) are invited to our Happy Birthday Jesus Party on Saturday, December 9 from 10-11:00 a.m. in the KIDS Hall!

YOU can insure that this family's Thanksgiving meal is special by participating in MadCAAP's Make ThanksGIV ING BIG food drive. FOOD ITEMS NEEDED 1000 cans of sweet potatoes 400 boxes of stuffing mix 600 large boxes instant potatoes COLLECTION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 15. Drop off items on the MadCAAP table in the Fellowship Hall NOVEMBER VIP LUNCHEON Tuesday, November 7, 11:30 a.m. in the Christian Life Center (CLC) $5.00 per person (please make reservations by noon Monday, November 6) Special Guests: Home Place Choir Menu: Turkey & dressing; sweet potato casserole; shallot green beans; salad; roll; pecan cobbler As the seasons change and you are cleaning out your closets, please be aware that we are collecting MEN'S CLOTHES AND SHOES for the Grace Place clothes closet. Our friends at Smith Park get to "shop" at Grace Place, and we would love to support this ministry. 8 ADULT MINISTRY Rev. Ben Butler or OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD HAS BEGUN Pick up a box from MUMC or provide your own. We have 400 boxes available. Boxes will be distributed on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights in the Atrium beginning Sunday, October 15. Complete instructions, list of suggested gifts and shipping labels will be given out with the boxes. Your gift of $9.00 per box will cover shipping and other project costs. Make checks payable to Samaritan s Purse. Completed boxes may be dropped off in the church office or Atrium any time before Sunday, November 12. Please do not tape the boxes. We are continuing what Jesus started Every shoebox gift delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God s amazing love. But a shoebox is just the beginning. It also presents an opportunity in more than 100 countries for our church partners to invite children into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray for God s blessing as we continue to share His love with children around the world. On October 27, students from MUMC s After School Care program participated in packing shoeboxes for kids around the world as part of Operation Christmas Child.
