Love in Christ, Logan Criss "Thank you to everyone who left items in my hamper for me in order to prepare for school coming up very soon. Also thank you for your prayers, and for being such a strong community of people for me to be involved in. Sincerely, Ben Rudy" Dear Family and Friends of Lewisville UMC, We want to say a big thank you for all you did to make our 60th Anniversary Celebration a moment in time we will never forget. It s always hard to name people because you will almost always forget someone. In all the busyness of the hustle and bustle, you will miss the people behind the scenes or someone who really played a very integral part in the success of the night. Please pass this along to all the congregation and those involved. Much love and appreciation, John, James, Ed and Raymond Craft Dear Ministry of Lewisville United Methodist Church, I want to formally thank you on behalf of all the scouts that came before me and will come after me. The church has offered so much help in planning events for scouting and to also allow Eagle Scout ceremonies to be held without a lot of trouble. Thank you for allowing me to use the church for my fundraiser and for my Eagle Scout ceremony. You guys are awesome! Thank you, Austin Gray (Boy Scout Troop 752) SPECIAL EVENT: Vienna Village Assisted Living invites you to our community concert celebrating 50 years of caring for the seniors in our community. First Class Alex Helsabeck will be performing traditional hymns and old time classics from the 40 s, 50 s, and beyond. Free ice cream and refreshments. LEWISVILLE IS A STEPHEN MINISTRY CHURCH. Stephen Ministers are trained lay care-givers who provide emotional and spiritual care to persons who are experiencing difficulties in their lives hospitalization, loss of a loved one, loss of job, or any other crisis situation. This is care in addition to the care the pastor gives. If you are interested in having a Stephen Minister, fill out one of the slips in the pew rack and put it in the offering plate or hand it to the minister or one of the Stephen Leaders or Tom Lee. THE DANIEL PLAN is a groundbreaking healthy lifestyle program founded on biblical principles and focused on The Essentials: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. The program offers an innovative approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle in which people get better together by optimizing their health in each of these life areas. Each essential supports and influences the others, offering a practical step-by-step approach for anyone to follow. This is based on a six-week series from Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman. It is an innovative approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle that is both transformational and sustainable because it is about abundant choices, not diet deprivation. If you are interested in this life changing study, please join us for an informational meeting on Sept. 8th in the church parlor at 7pm. If you have questions, please contact Tanya Kivett, (cell)
