2 Aialama (thank you)! For 11 days we rode and walked the red dirt roads of Uganda and visited all 30 sponsored children, mostly in their villages. Hugs were shared and tears of joy were shed as we visited with the children and their caregivers. Your support of Bibles for the kids and posho and beans for the caregivers was often met with "Thank you Hillcrest"! For those of you who prayed for us, our health and safety, your prayers were answered! We have once again left another piece of our heart in Uganda! Thank you, Sally Dykstra (11) and Sandy Holtrop (11). Pray for the Guatemala Impact Team who plans to return on Tuesday. This team of 30 students and adults are in Guatemala on a mission trip to build five homes, set up medical clinics and share the gospel. Pray for safe travels home, and for the touching of many lives as they share the Gospel. You can check out the blog at Ministries SMILE SMILE SMILE - Save the date for our 5 th Birthday Ice Cream Celebration on Sunday evening, July 31, following the evening worship service! GIRLs (Growing In Real Love) Women's Ministry: Women, younger or older, members or attendees, you will have several opportunities for spiritual and physical growth this summer! If you have any questions, contact Tricia Bosma at *ABIDE Bible Study group will meet on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM and will be studying the book of Job. We will meet from June 20 to August 29 in the Fellowship Room. *Keep Calm and Get Your Workout On: Walking/Running Club will begin on June 22 at 6:45 PM. Meet outside Door C. We begin with a devotion, exercise for 45 minutes then have fruit refreshments and fellowship. Strollers welcome! *Kickboxing continues on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM in The Hill. All levels are welcome! This is led by Joy Hall. The cost is $3 per session and the proceeds go to the sponsorship of a child through Bless A Child Uganda. Thursday night Kids Supper s, when Hillcrest serves a warm meal to the children of Love, INC s Life Skills clients, continues to happen throughout the summer. We are in need of people willing to donate food as well as individuals/families/ small groups to prepare and serve the meal. Summer is a great time to try it since most summer schedules tend to be a little less busy! There is a sign-up sheet located on the north wall in the narthex where you can choose a time that works best for you to serve or donate food! This requires only 1 ½ hours of your time! Can you help to serve in this capacity? Children are welcome to serve with their parents, so this is a great way to serve as a family. Any questions can be directed to Lori Bremer. 2

3 Hillcrest Notices Nursery News: There will be NO nursery offered in the evenings for the month of July (due to lack of volunteers), with the exception of July 17, which is a combined service with Georgetown and Immanuel CR churches. Young Couples: Our next event will be on Sunday, June 26 at 3:00 PM at Tunnel Park in Holland. Supper will be at 5:30 PM. Kids are invited as well! Youth Wildlife Bon Fire and Games at the Pit: On Wednesday, June 29 at 7:00 PM, we will have a night of volleyball, Gaga Ball, tetherball, disc golf and activities along with a bon fire and hotdogs. Just show up for a great night together! 360 Summer Worship On the Water: On Sunday June 26 we will be going to Tunnel Park for an evening of worship and fun at the beach. We will leave church at 4:30 PM and return around 10:00 PM. Dinner will be provided. Dress for the weather! Mark August 14 on your calendars for the next Worship on the Water Night. Community Notices Kids Ministry Volunteer Lead Teachers are needed for Love INC Thursday Night Life Skills Program from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM at Hillcrest. Commitment of 8 weeks or longer, (year round available) is desired. Curriculum provided for age groups: 3-6 years old or 7+ years old. Education or Youth Ministry background preferred but not required. Heart for serving at risk youth; able to keep kids engaged in weekly lessons; instinct for empathy. Contact Kaitlin at x127 or volunteer@loveinthenameofchrist.org Natalie VanderBroek, 10-month-old daughter of Scott and Becca, was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome at just a few weeks old. PWS is a rare and complex genetic condition that, among many difficulties, causes insatiable hunger. Without a treatment, Natalie will spend her entire life hungry. Please come to Hughes Park on June 20 from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM for a fundraiser open house to help support the PWS community and Natalie! At the park, we will enjoy a light snack, carnival games, a bounce house, truck display and more. Money raised will go towards the development of a promising drug that will help curb the hunger that those with PWS live with. As soon as funding is raised, Natalie will receive this life changing treatment. All your donations will be tax deductible. Saturday, June 25 the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds welcomes Voices of Victory Quartet in concert! The concert will begin at 7:00 PM but please come early and enjoy a delicious dinner, served in the Sunshine Room from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
