When we trust in God, when our trust is God, we are like a tree planted by water. Our roots go deep, we are ever-green; even in a drought we are not anxious, but bear fruit, full and beautiful, gifts of the God who made us. *HYMN #35 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty *CALL TO CONFESSION *PRAYER OF CONFESSION Merciful God, your call to discipleship is demanding. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS COMMUNITY LENTEN LUNCHEONS Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church is the hosting this year s Lenten Worship services and luncheons every Wednesday beginning on March 6 th and ending on April 10 th. A brief worship service led by various pastors will begin at 12:00pm followed by a light lunch in the fellowship hall. All members of the community are invited to attend. FIPC is providing the lunch on March 6 th. WEDNESDAY NIGHT BOOK STUDY led by Dr. Jones meets at 6:00pm on Wednesday nights in the Ruth Cox Curry Sunday School Classroom. The study is Worldchanging 101: Challenging the Myth of Powerlessness. MEN S BREAKFAST will be held on February 24 th at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall. All men and sons are invited to attend. This month s speaker will be announced later. Contact Ken Weinel at or Jimmy Looney at for information. MEDICAL MISSIONS, INC. will be traveling to Iquitos, Peru on their 2019 Amazon Mission Trip from April 27 th May 3 rd. Participant s cost is $ PLUS airfare. Trip cost covers ground transportation, double occupancy lodging and meals. Travelers are responsible for miscellaneous tips and in transit meals. $500 is due on or before Feb. 15 th and $500 is due by Mar. 15 th. *Price may vary depending on the cost of airline tickets. Full details are on the flyers in the Parlor side narthex. FLOWER CALENDAR If you wish to provide sanctuary flowers, you may do so by indicating your preferred date on the Flower Calendar that is posted in the Church Office hallway. Speak with the Church Organist and floral designer, Tracy Ricard, regarding your floral preferences. Also, please provide the Church Secretary with a statement for the bulletin on your selected Sunday. Your statement should be in to the Church Office no later than Tuesday prior to your chosen date. A check payable to FIPC in the amount of $65.00 must be submitted to the Church Office by the Sunday prior to the week you have chosen.

5 Children YOUNG AMBASSADORS for CHRIST, YAC, meets on the third Sunday of the month from 4:00-6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Details for the March meeting will be announced. All 4 th -5 th grade children are invited to attend for a time for fun and fellowship as we grow in Christ. Youth PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH CONNECTION, PYC, meets Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm for 6 th 12 th grade youth. A typical Sunday includes a meal, organized game and program in the CFC.
