We will be studying the Prodigal Son story in Luke 15, using Kenneth Bailey s book, The Cross and the Prodigal: Luke 15 through the Eyes of Middle Eastern Peasants, as the text. BACKPACK BLESSINGS HOLIDAY FOODS Please consider donating foods to the Backpack Blessings project. The same children who receive weekly backpacks of weekend foods, will also need of food during the school Christmas break and many of them missing the school-provided breakfast and lunch. The agency tries to provide additional foods for this time of year and your contributions would be especially helpful and needed. Donations may be placed at the identified shelving in the classroom directly behind the Fellowship Hall kitchen.

3 PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN CHRISTMAS GIFT COLLECTION FOR RESIDENTS OF CLINTON PRESBYTERIAN HOME The PW of FIPC will be collecting gifts to be taken to the residents of The Clinton Presbyterian Home. Most needed items are postage stamps, Post-It-Notes, large print word search puzzles, large print paperback books, 2019 calendars, pens, small umbrellas, flashlights with batteries, Kleenex, mouthwash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower caps, shaving cream, soap, lotion, deodorant, nail polish, nail clippers, hair brushes, combs, socks, hose (ankle, knee or thigh length), note cards, and all occasion cards. Collection bins will be placed in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring your items to the church by Thursday, December 6 th. Gifts will be delivered to The Clinton Community on December 10 th. ANNUAL YOUTH MISSION GREENERY FUNDRAISER The Youth are offering Fresh Fraser Fir Trees and Greenery for the Christmas season. Vouchers are available if you prefer to select your own tree from one of three local Granddaddy's Trees lots OR the youth will gladly deliver your order on either November 24th or December 1st. 4 CHRIST GIVING MARKET If you were not able to attend Christ-Giving Market and wish to participate, you may do so through the church office. December 9th will be the final day to participate. FIPC ANNUAL NATIVITY PROGRAM DECEMBER 2 ~ 5:00-7:00 P.M. On Sunday, December 2, the Children and Youth of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church will present their annual Nativity program. The community of Fountain Inn is invited to receive this gift from our church. Following the Nativity program, there will be a PYC mission meal in the CFC and concluding with some family-friendly-fun games. Mark your calendar to begin your Advent season in this special time of worship and fellowship. FOUNTAIN INN ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE ~ DECEMBER 5 ~ 5:00-6:30 p.m. Children s Division will sponsor a float and will need children participating in this annual holiday event; details will be forthcoming but mark your calendar. DECEMBER 16 th ~ CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING PAPER DONATIONS NEEDED In the coming weeks there will be bins around the church campus to receive your donation of Christmas giftwrapping supplies (full or partial rolls of wrapping paper, ribbon/bows, and name tags). As is their annual tradition, the youth of FIPC will be Santa helpers by wrapping gifts for the children of Thornwell. Adults are welcome to join in the holiday magic on December 16 th. Following worship, the volunteers will get lunch in Clinton and then go to Thornwell to being an afternoon of gift wrapping.
