3 Fellowship and Study, 6:15 p.m. This evening will be our final Fellowship and Study gathering for the summer. Not only will there be the usual coffee, tea and cookies, but we will also share a potluck supper together. It all starts at 6:15 p.m. Come for fellowship and be encouraged in your walk with the Lord. Church Family Church family information may be obtained from the church office. This week Thursday, Pastor Jack leaves for Pella, Iowa to attend the meeting of Synod of the CRC. This will be a very special meeting, with several sessions combined with the delegates of the General Synod of the Reformed Church in America. Pray for safe travels for Pastor Jack and all the delegates. Pray for God's Spirit to lead the discussions and decisions. Pray for God s blessing on their ministry as they serve our community: Brockville Wesleyan Church, Pastor Kirk Perry. Pentecost Sunday!! Give thanks for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Education, Outreach, Small Group New to Bethel? Would you like to know more about our Church? Pick up our Information Package from the ushers or pick up from the welcome cart in the fellowship hall. All children age 3 to those in Grade 5 will be staying for the entire Worship Service today as we celebrate the Lord s Supper. Next week the children will have their final class and on June 22 we will have a Grade 5 Graduation and celebrate with Sundaes on Sunday! Angelia is our sponsor child that our Sunday School children have been supporting for a few years now. This summer they need a little help to keep the sponsorship going! During the Sundaes on Sunday Celebration (June 22) the children will gladly accept donations for Angelia and will have the collection can out!

4 Join the Vacation Bible School Team and help children know that Jesus Loves Them!! We all feel insecure, alone, not understood at times and this includes children. Weird Animals (the theme for this year) is designed to show the children that Jesus loves them no matter how they feel. We are in need for at least 2 Kindergarten teachers, 7 Crew Leaders and 3-4 more helpers in the kitchen. Sign up on the bulletin board or talk to Jennifer Winter for more details. In your mail slots this week is a VBS Invitational Post-Card to be handed out to families in your neighbourhood. If you would like more to hand out, please take them from the Fellowship Hall. Weekly Prayer Meeting: Join us for a time of prayer in the Sanctuary Wednesdays at 7 pm. Come to rest in His presence, offer prayers for yourself and others. Leave with the peace that only Jesus can give. At the last council meeting a new executive was elected for Chairman: Tony Verheul; Vice chair: Joanne Wiekamp; Clerk: Mike VanDyke; General Alternate: John Terpstra; Chairman of deacons to be decided. Today s Offering: AM World Missions - CELEBRATING PENTECOST - Join Christian Reformed World Missions this Pentecost Sunday in celebrating God s global church, one with many ethnicities, languages, and cultures. Through the Holy Spirit s work, we see God drawing people to Himself as people hear and respond to His call. PM - Building Fund A collection that is held to help pay down the mortgage of this facility. Next Sunday s Offering: AM CRC Aboriginal Ministries - Seeks to bless and receive blessings by serving the urban Aboriginal community with pastoral/diaconal ministries conducted through strategically located ministries in Winnipeg, Regina and Edmonton. The 12 th annual golf tournament to benefit Heritage Community Christian School will be at the Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club in Forthton; 1:00 p.m. shot gun start. Put together your own team of four or register individually and be placed with a team of other individuals. Not a golfer? There are many other ways you can participate:

Check out all the details at You can also contact the school office at or info@hccs.ca if you have any questions, want to register, sponsor a hole etc. Hollandse Dag (Dutch Heritage Day) Once again the Dutch Day or Hollandse Dag will be held at First Christian Reformed Church 312 Kingscourt Avenue in Kingston on Wednesday, June 11 th, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The Speaker for the morning will be Rev. Job VanHartingsveld. Music will be by Bill Kuipers on the Organ and John DeVries on the Piano. Coffee and Tea will be served throughout the day. We appreciate your bringing along some vrolijke bijdragen and presenting them in the afternoon program. Please help us out with that.
