5 Next week s scripture reading: May 13, 2018-the Seventh Sunday of Easter- Jesus spent the forty days after his resurrection teaching his disciples about the kingdom of God. Now Jesus has ascended to God and his disciples have assumed leadership of the early church. Jesus does not leave them alone, he promises the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide them as they lead. Our reading from Acts 1:15-17, demonstrates how God empowers "Ordinary People" to do extraordinary things! This week we celebrate our teachers and choir members, directors and musicians on Teacher and Music Appreciation Sunday! The Worship and Music Ministry will host a conversation regarding the enhancement of worship at the CRR on Thursday, May 10 at 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Strengths of the worship program will be discussed, as well as ideas for enhancing the program. Please plan to join us for this important conversation. John Moore, Chair, Worship and Music Ministry. This is also Music Appreciation and Teacher Appreciation Sunday. The Hand Bell Choir will play and there will be a Second Sunday Lunch at 11:30 AM. Bring your dish to share, cut and ready to serve. Plates, cups, silverware, coffee and water supplied. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD. Beginning on June 3, we will have ONLY ONE worship service each Sunday, at 9:30 AM. This will be in effect until at least October 28.

If you are interested in helping out with crafts, games, music, snacks or any of the fun that is VBS, please attend our meeting on May 15 th at 10:00 AM in Classroom B.
