Chapel This Week: Mission Offerings: I am super thankful for NELHS and for the Christian education that I received. The teachers were excellent role models for how Christian men and women behave in this sinful and crazy world. Through my four years, my love of music grew thanks to Mrs. Martha Johnson (Miss Kitzrow!!), which lead me to pursue a degree in elementary education and secondary choral music from Martin Luther College. Currently, I am proudly serving at Martin Luther School in Neenah, WI as principal and 5-6 grade teacher. I am thrilled everyday to greet the students and parents whom I am blessed to serve, and my prayer is that I am able to be a strong male Christian role model for each child my school, just like my teachers did for me at Nebraska Lutheran. -- Tyler Weinrich,Class of 2008 Amount collected: (2 weeks ago) $ Total amount collected this semester: $ Sunday Worship Attendance This Week: K = 4 / 10 1 = 6 / 10 2 = 7 / 11 3 & 4 = 8 / 19 5 & 6 = 6 / 17 7 & 8 = 3 / TOTAL: 34 / 82 (41%) ==================================================================================== Mrs. Mullen's Room (Preschool) MWF Morning/Afternoon Class David & Goliath is our bible story this week. I enjoyed the days off to reflect on the year so far and prepare for Christmas. I want to say that I am very thankful for each of you and your children. It is a blessing to serve you! God s blessings on your week. Mrs. Paulsen Mrs. Spreeman (Grade 1) Happy Monday! Did you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break? We have much to be thankful for. We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with both sides of our family this weekend, so we had a house full of cousins. This week we will wrap up our Thanksgiving book, Cranberry Thanksgiving, so that we can move on to our Advent devotions and preparations for Jesus birthday starting next week. Ask your child about the cranberry taste test we did in school. Also ask your child how cranberries are harvested. We have been working on our Song Night presentation for you. Some children memorize more easily than others which is why I sent it home to be reviewed each night. We want people to be able to understand our important message. :). We will be working on transforming our classroom for you to see at our Song Night open house. Our reading/spelling word focus this week is the -ed ending on each word. Sometimes the -ed ending says -ed, sometimes -d, sometimes -t. Try to notice that ending in words and have your child help figure out which sound it is.
