4 Youth Sunday Rehearsal in the Sanctuary Kairos Worship: καιρός 6:00-6:30 p.m., Wednesday Evenings in Lent There is an ancient Greek word for finding or making space in our lives. It is a word that means the right or opportune moment. This word, kairos (καιρός), has been used over the centuries to describe time for spiritual reflection, and even, to put it simply, God s time. For six Wednesdays during Lent, we invite you to explore worship in a new way. Join us for Kairos Evening Worship. Kairos evening Worship (6:00-6:30 p.m.): March 21: Worship with Communion, Luke 22:7-22 Kairos evening Study (6:40-7:30 p.m.): March 21: Class will meet CALLing ALL gals Movie night! - As a follow-up from our 2017 Girlfriends in God GALS Retreat, we would like to invite all girlfriends to join us for the viewing of Fried Green Tomatoes. During our retreat we concentrated on the relationships we develop with the women in our lives and how those relationships reach beyond traditional friendships in that we find God in our girlfriends. Along with Bible Scripture, scenes from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes were described to illustrate this relationship during our retreat. We want to renew these images by briefly recapping our retreat discussion and then watch the movie with our girlfriends. Please join us, whether you were able to come to the retreat or not or, if you would just like an evening watching a great movie with a bunch of girlfriends! Popcorn will be served! When: Friday, March 23, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. Where: Second Presbyterian Church s Intersection (Youth House) RSVP to Cindy Waters at cindezz@cox.net or , if you are able to join us! Youth Fellowshipping at The Intersection SAve-the-dAte vacation bible SChooLS Morning vbs: July 23-26, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon Children ages 4k-5th grade are invited to join us as we discover how the ordinary becomes extraordinary with God. We will explore scripture and meet people from the Bible who used what they had to produce something amazing, and how we, too, are a part of this ongoing story of faith. Come with your heart, mind, and imagination to participate in the creative life of God! Check upcoming Sunday bulletins for information regarding registration. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Elizabeth Link (elizabeth@spres.org). Registration will begin after Easter! evening vbs: June We hope you will save-the-date for this summer s annual Evening VBS! Our guest speaker will be dr.
