They are coming from Seivern Baptist Church in Wagener, SC where he was the Lead Pastor. Pastor Geoff and Faith are both Air Force Veterans and have lived and traveled all over the world. They are extremely excited to be able to serve God at Paramount. Church Wide Bonfire to Welcome Pastor Geoff and His Family!! Sunday, September 17th at 6:00 p.m. PLEASE BRING LAWN CHAIRS AND A DESERT TO SHARE! (The church will supply the food and paper products)
4 Sunday School Safety All Preschool and Children's Sunday School classes require every child s parent, or grandparent to complete an Enrollment Form for each new child brought to class. Please see that the information is complete and regularly updated with any changes. This form gives the teachers necessary information to keep your child safe. In addition, you are required weekly to Sign-In your child to their Sunday School class and Sign them out when picking them up. If you have taken a beeper (all parents of PS I children must take one) please remember to return it to PS I when you pick up your child. Beepers are available for sign-out in PS I for any parent who needs them. We look forward to your child being in Sunday School every week, though we are encouraging you to NOT bring sick children (no fevers, rashes, productive coughs, eye discharge, or purulent nasal discharge). Their little germs not only infect the other children, but their Sunday School teachers as well. Please label your child's belongings, ie. cups, bottles, blankets and diaper bags (keep medicines out of diaper bags). Children often wish to bring a toy to Sunday School. Let them know that we encourage children to keep it safe and put away during class since all children will want to share in the joy. When picking up your child from Sunday School, please knock and wait outside the door for your child to be brought to you. Only you or your designated pick-up person (as noted on the Sign-In sheet) will be allowed to take the child from the classroom. This process is to keep all children safe during the dismissal process. Please be considerate of every Sunday School teacher by picking up your child immediately after class/worship. Our teachers try their best, especially with other church responsibilities to be in the classroom when your child is dropped off. If by chance there is no adult in the classroom, please do not leave your child alone in the room, but stay until the teacher or designated substitute arrives to assume responsibility. Any questions, concerns please contact Arlene Hull. With your help we can ensure the safety of all our Sunday School children. You have entrusted us with your child s safety, and we take this responsibility seriously. If you have any questions or concerns please call Arlene Hull, C: Thank you, Mrs. Arlene B. Hull Sunday School Director
5 STARTING WEDNESDAY EVENING, SEPT. 6TH AGES 2 TO 6TH GRADE 6:30 P.M. SEPTEMBER TO MAY HERE IT IS! The new playground equipment for the children is installed and ready for use! A big thank you to everyone involved in seeing this project to completion! (And a big thumbs up from the kids!) Adults on Mission- Meetings are held the 3 rd Thursday, 10:00 a.m. in Anderson Hall September 21 s t -- What is a Send City? The Kern s serve as Send City missionaries in Salt Lake City which the NAMB has prioritized as one of 32 cities with the greatest spiritual need and potential influence in North America. Join us to learn about their ministry, facts about Salt Lake City, and the challenges of witnessing for Christ in a predominately Mormon area. How would you feel if you didn t see another believer for an entire week? October 19 th -- Doc and Dee Douglas* are international missionaries who work with the Deaf. Dee grew up with deaf parents, is fluent in sign language, has a heart-knowledge of the Deaf culture, and teaches sign language. It is a unique ministry they witness by storytelling, building relationships, and sharing the gospel with unsaved neighbors through hospitality. Doc and Dee request we pray with courage and compassion for the deaf where many are shunned by their own families. (*Names changed to protect their identity.) Join us for a time of learning, fellowship, and refreshments! UNITED IN PRAYER Seeking Christ s Spirit (Acts 1:14) Missions Offering & Week of Prayer - September 10-17,2017 What is the Maryland/Delaware State Missions Offering?
