So, consider ways in which you would like to get connected with your church family and with our community. Watch this section for ways to get connected! How about can you Help the Kairos prison ministry team on: Saturday, October 6 prepare and serve lunch (11:45-1:30) for 45 (this is a great family or Sunday school service project). Bring a pot-luck dish to share at the Worship Together service on Sunday, September 30 (Next Sunday!). Also, invite a friend or family member to join you! Help at the First Church tent at Laurel s River Fest (Sunday, September pm). We ll be sharing information on upcoming events and on our church. Join the planning team to honor Mr. Miles (from Miles Meat Market) for his decades of support to our church and our community? Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something! Interested? 5 FUMCL Youth will be participating in ROCK this year! Please let Russ Wilson know if you are able to attend ASAP! The dates are February 8-10 th in Ocean City MD. Upcoming Events and Opportunities to Serve- Sept. 28 th Movie FUMCL Sept. 30 th Ushers Needed for Youth Sunday! This is also our combined service day followed by a potluck fellowship meal. October 20 th - Youth will be serving breakfast to the Kairos Prison Ministry Team. Please be at church by 6:30 am to begin cooking, parents welcome to help also. October 25 th - Trunk or Treat 6-8pm- The youth will decorate vehicles and hand out candy. December 9 th - Youth will prepare dinner for the men s homeless shelter. Be at church by 5:30pm, parents are invited to help. February 8-10 th ROCK Youth Retreat Ocean City MD Page 5
