1 SEVENTEENTH Sunday in ordinary Time July 29, 2018 Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost. So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets. An extra special thanks to Bill Riely for the BBQ grill, for cooking on it, and being a trooper for letting us use it! And to John Genn for cooking up the burgers and dogs! And finally, to all parents, teens, and families who made it possible for our first Youth Group BBQ to be a huge success! Next year again! Pied Beauty Glory be to God for dappled things For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow; For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim; Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches wings; Landscape plotted and pieced fold, fallow, and plough; And áll trádes, their gear and tackle and trim. All things counter, original, spare, strange; Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?) With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim; He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change: Praise him. -Gerard Manley Hopkins
