Sacrament of Baptism Upon the birth of their child, parents are asked to contact the Parish Office for orientation and to register for the required Parents and Godparents Baptismal Preparation Session. The sessions are held on the 2 nd Saturday of the month at 10:30am in the Church. Baptisms are celebrated at 1:00pm on the first and third Sundays of the month following the 12noon Mass. Sacrament of Marriage Couples must be registered, active members of the parish and are asked to begin preparation at least one year prior to the planned wedding date. It is advisable for couples to contact the Parish Office before other arrangements are made for the Wedding Day. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick/Visitation of the Sick The Anointing of the Sick is available to seriously ill members of our Parish either at home or in the hospital. Please call the Parish Office to make arrangements. For legal reasons, many hospitals no longer inform parishes when a hospitalized parishioner would like a parish visit. Please contact the Parish Office of any homebound persons who would like to receive Holy Communion regularly. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a rite in the Church for adults to prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Holy Eucharist. If you or someone you know would like to become a Catholic, please contact the Parish Office. Parish Registration We welcome you to the Saint Ann Parish Family and invite you to register with us by filling out a form either by contacting our Parish Office or on the website. Parish Registration is required for Baptisms, Religious Education Programs and to attend Hoboken Catholic Academy. We urge all parishioners to make regular use of the envelopes. If you are moving from the Parish, please notify the Parish Office.

3 SHARING GOD S BLESSINGS 2018 ANNUAL APPEAL One Body, One Mission" On February 2nd/3rd, we kicked off our Commitment Weekend for the 2018 Sharing God s Blessings Annual Appeal. Please prayerfully consider making a pledge, completing the form and either return it to the parish office or place it in the Sunday s collection. SCRIPTURAL REFLECTION February 25, 2018 Second Sunday of Lent Here I am! he answered. - Genesis 22:11 It is easy to say, Here I am, Lord, when we are kneeling in church. But how easy is it to say Here I am, Lord, when a neighbor needs our help, when we are invited to join a parish ministry or when we are asked to provide financial support? Often, we are called when it s not convenient for us. Discipleship is not always easy, most times it will make us uncomfortable and vulnerable. Lord, not my will, but Yours be done... I trust in You. SHARING YOUR TIME: LENT 2018 Prayerfully consider volunteering for one of our Parish Ministries during Lent 2018: Ministry to the Elderly & Infirmed at Peace Care NJ (formerly Cusack Center): Spend time visiting with those in nursing and assisted facilities; Meals for the Homebound: Provide delicious homemade meals to parishioners who are unable to shop and prepare meals for themselves because of life circumstances such as the birth of a child, the passing of a loved one or recovery from surgery, etc; Hoboken Shelter: On the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month, Saint Ann Church provides two monthly dinners: we provide the food and our volunteers cook and serve it to all in need; Minister of the Eucharist to the Homebound: visiting homebound parishioners, administering the Eucharist, spending some time in prayer...
