3 EASTER VIGIL RECEPTION The Christian Service Committee will be serving refreshments after the Easter vigil Mass on April 4 th in Tetu Hall. Treats to include Ice cream floats and ice cream sundaes with all the fixings. FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH: To celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph, spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which occurs on March 19 th, parishioners are asked to bring breads and pastries when they come to Mass the weekend of March 22 nd and place them on the altar of St. Joseph after they enter church. This custom of preparing the altar originated in Sicily in fulfillment of a promise made to St. Joseph for his assistance during a period of drought and famine. All baked goods will be blessed and donated to New Horizons the following day. Margot MOUNT CALVARY CEMETERY GOOD FRIDAY-WAY OF THE CROSS Please join us Good Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10AM, for the annual Way of the Cross, which will be held on the grounds of Mount Calvary Cemetery 474 Goffstown Road Manchester, NH (This will begin at the third gate of the cemetery by the rotary.) These will be Living Stations performed by the Ste. Marie Parish Youth Group. In case of rain, snow or wet conditions on the cemetery grounds, the stations will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel. For more information call the office at or visit our website WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES PILGRIMAGE AND PAPAL MASS The Diocese of Manchester is sponsoring a pilgrimage to the World Meeting of Families, to be held in Philadelphia, PA, from September 22 to 27, Participants from around the U.S. and the world will convene to explore the critical role the family plays in society and to give families, and those who minister to families, opportunities to talk about the challenges and blessings that all families have. Pope Francis will visit Philadelphia and celebrate a public Mass on Sunday, September 27. Call Mrs. Green in the school office at or at info@stanthonyschoolnh.com PEEKING INTO.TECHNOLOGY The students are beginning their NetSmartz lessons at each grade level to learn how to properly use the Internet, how to be safer online, how to keep their information secured, and what to do if they come across something that makes them feel sad, scared, or uncomfortable. The kindergarteners have started using PowerPoint to practice finding the letters on the keyboard and Starfall to practice their reading. The first graders are learning to type into a Word document and change the looks of the text. The second graders are finishing their projects on their states. They can now add information, change backgrounds and add their own pictures. The projects look great! The fifth graders have been learning about coding and Computer Science. Maybe someday they will learn how to create their own video game or write their own apps! The fifth and sixth graders have also been discussing Internet searches for credible information and the different search engines to use. The sixth graders are making graphs in Excel to help prepare them for the Science Fair. I m amazed by how much the students have grown over the year. It is a privilege to work with our students!
