1 THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME INFANT JESUS SHOWER Infant Jesus Shower sign-ups continue after all masses this weekend. The Infant Jesus Shower is the parish s Christmas giving program which provides new toys and clothing to local families in need. If helping a child in need is already part of your Christmas tradition, please stop by the music room to sign up again this year. 2 ST. HELEN CHURCH RIVERSIDE, OHIO November 12, 2017 ST HELEN CHRISTMAS BAZAAR DONATIONS NEEDED The PTO Holiday Bazaar has been a success each year because of your generous donations. Please consider donating baked goods to the bake sale this year. Donations can be dropped off at St. Helen School on Friday December 1st during school hours or 6-8pm that evening. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Skiple (jskiple@sthelenschl.org) or Latasha Hubbard (lbhubb17@yahoo.com). The St. Helen PTO is looking for handmade craft donations for the PTO table and raffle baskets. If you are interested in donating items such as Afghans, baby blankets, wreaths, woodworking items, paper crafts, jewelry or any other handmade item for the PTO table or items for the raffle baskets please contact Amy Comer at sthelenchristmasbazaar@gmail.com or We would like to have all craft donations by the end of November. If you would like to help advertise for the Christmas Bazaar, there are yard signs available in the parish office. Please place the sign in your yard between now and the bazaar. The signs can be used for multiple years, once the bazaar is over please store the sign for next year or return it to the parish office. Be sure to mark December 2 nd on your calendar for the St. Helen Christmas Bazaar. We have multiple vendors returning from last year as well as several new vendors. Santa will be stopping and kids can complete their Christmas shopping at the Tyke Shop. The kitchen will be serving cabbage rolls, potato soup and chili again this year so plan to stay for lunch. We hope to see you there! WE HAVE A NEW MINISTER- FRIENDLY SCHEDULING SYSTEM! Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Servers, and parents of them, we will be launching a new scheduling system. Ministry Scheduler Pro, this month. The current schedule runs through November, and a new one will be generated via MSP that will cover December through February. With the new system, you can log on (plus an app is available!) and enter dates that you are unavailable, request subs, and see all of your scheduled Masses at once! There will be a short training session on Thursday, November 16, beginning at 7 pm, in the Smith Building. Each child decorated their own candle, which they lit after making their confession, as a reminder of the Light of Christ they received at baptism. The candles are lit in the sanctuary this weekend to mark this milestone as a parish family. Please continue to keep our children in your prayers! FROM OUR MAINTENANCE STAFF Last Sunday evening, our area experienced very heavy rain in a short period of time, which flooded our church basement. A call for help was published on social media, and an amazing number of parishioners showed up immediately with shop vacs and a willingness to help. A very special THANK YOU to all who came down, offered prayers, or checked in with us! Thanks to your help, school was able to open on Monday with minimal issues.

Come learn what it is like to be a Catholic Christian in India. The Transfiguration Center for Spiritual Renewal is seeking volunteers for the upcoming holiday season for 2 hour blocks to staff the creche (nativity) displays.
