Guided for more than a century by the vision of the Paulist Fathers, we are a diverse and welcoming community dedicated to serving the spiritual needs of the Loop, South Loop and the greater Chicago area. As a unified Church and School community, Old St. Mary s Parish promotes the mission of the Paulist Fathers to welcome those who have been away from the church, to build bridges of respect and collaboration with people of diverse backgrounds and religions, and to promote justice and healing in our society. Do You Know a Parishioner Who is Homebound? The homebound are still members of our parish community as members of the Body of Christ. This union becomes real when our Eucharistic ministers take Holy Communion to them in the homes or at a nursing home. If you know of someone who is not able to get to church on a regular basis let us know ( ) and we will arrange for a minister to visit. Fr. Please ask an usher to let the communion ministers know where you are so the ministers can bring communion to you. Receiving the Body of Christ is too important to miss out. The ministers do scan the congregation, so if you forget to let an usher know, put your hand up so they can see you. We want to accommodate you. SOUND SYSTEM LOOP RECEIVERS in the SACRISTY Users with a t-coil in their hearing aid can listen to our sound system directly through their hearing aids. Check with your hearing care professional to see if your hearing aid is equipped with a t-coil and properly adjusted. The Bishops called on legislators to remember the poor and the common good when considering taxes, writing that "you are urged to recognize the critical obligation of creating a just framework aimed at the economic security of all people, especially the least of these."
