5 Broom Up Bridgeville day is Saturday, April 27. The Deacons are looking for helpers to redd up around Bethany and Bridgeville. Please meet us at Bethany on Saturday the 27 th at 9:00 a.m. for a maximum of 1 or 2 hours of cleaning up & weeding around the outside of Bethany. If we have enough workers, some folks may volunteer to broom-up Triangle Park near the Bridgeville Historical Building (the train station) or anywhere else that will help make Bridgeville shine. Thanks, Dan Wolfe Upward I would like to say a very special Thank You from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has helped with Upward over the past 5+ years to make it the special ministry that it has become. From all the hours of sacrifice from my wife, Kelly, to the countless hours that I have spent at the church with Reilley, to all of the other folks that have made this a very special program to be a part of for me as well as the surrounding community. All of the Commissioners, volunteers, parents, families that have been touched by Christ through our hard work bringing it to Bethany deserve a big round of thanks as well. Everyone that was ever touched by Upward had as much to do with the success of the program as any one individual. One slogan of Upward is "Every Child is a Winner". The Bible tells us that we are all Children of God, so we are all winners when we donate our time and talents to a ministry like Upward. In closing, I just want to say that with Earl and Arnie taking over the Director roles along with the other commissioners that are staying on or changing places, Upward will continue to grow and serve our community. Thank you all, Mike Barish Guide Book & Directory The Guidebook Directory is in process so that Bethany members will have a free and up-to-date directory of all of our members contact information. We need each of you to: Check last year s Guide book directory or call the office for any changes in your contact information. We would like to add cell phone numbers and information where possible. Please double check your address with the office because some are incomplete, incorrect, or changed. (Please ask to have old addresses deleted.) The church office information will be what goes into the directory unless you request particular information be kept private. Please make sure it is up-to-date! We would like to have all corrections by April 30, Consider recommending a local business that your family patronizes, or family business advertisement for the directory. (The Guidebook is supported by these Ads and we would like also to support local member s business). Please call Jean Roemer at for general questions, the Bethany office for contact information changes, and Holly Opperman at for advertising query s and recommendations. 5

Closing Roundup Friday, July 12 th at 6 PM Roundup Closing Program Dinner Line Dancing More details to follow FROM THE BETHANY CHURCH OFFICE Attendance: Sunday, April : : Finance Report: April 14, Budget 771,982 Year to Date Budget 227,203 Year to Date Income 222, Year to Date income 229,109 Sunday School Offering April Year to Date (offering is used to support four children in Haiti) 1, You may have noticed that the bulletin has recently reflected contributions as significantly behind budget. For years, we have determined our weekly income budget based on historical giving patterns. However, giving for 2013 has not followed historical giving patterns. After analyzing both actual 2013 and historical contributions, we have modified the year to date weekly contribution budget to more accurately reflect the expected timing of 2013 contributions. Please note that the annual income budget for 2013 is unchanged: we have only changed the allocation of the budget to specific weeks. Please don t hesitate to contact Kim McCann, Mark Wolstoncroft or a member of the Stewardship Team with any questions. 7
