NEWS FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST We welcome The Reverend Joan Stewart, Executive Director of WV Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps, a disaster response agency working in partnership with the Presbytery of WV. WVMAW locations host teams of volunteers from all over the US that bring hands of hope and help to victims of disaster from flood to poverty. Hearing Devices: There are personal hearing amplification devices that are available to use anywhere in the sanctuary. They are a small unit, similar in size to a smart phone. If you are interested in using one, please see one of the ushers. Baptism dates for 2012: July 29 September 30 November 25 Call the Church Office to request a date for Baptism. 3

Thank You Barb Crawford will be concluding her work as Interim Director of Christian Education at the end of this month. A reception in her honor will be held after the 10:00 a.m. service this morning in the Welcome Center. Stay and enjoy some refreshments and express your thanks to Barb for her loving service in this position. Summer Worship is being held at 8:15 and 10:00 a.m. thru September 2 nd. 6 Volunteers are still needed at the General Assembly, meeting in Pittsburgh, from June 30 th to July 7 th. Register on line at Bethany young adults and adults are looking to help members who are in need of having someone paint, do repair work, etc. They are asking nothing in return. Please contact Matt Fricker at fricker@bethanypresby.org or call him at Flyers for Opportunities to Host Kawiya Vistiors are available on the counter in the Welcome Center. Check it out. Members from the Kawiya church will be visiting Bethany from September 15 th thru September 24 th. There are opportunities to host overnight guests, invite them to a homecooked meal, sightseeing, etc. Contact Carl Suppo at Parking for Sunday Services The Property Team asks that we reserve the front row spaces near the entrance for the elderly, for those with special needs and for visitors. Those who may have a greater need than others just might get discouraged from attending church because they have to walk so far. Vacation Bible School will be held July 9 th thru the 13 th from 9:00 to 12:00 for children who are 4 years old thru those completing the 8 th grade. Registration forms are at the Welcome Center desk or you can register on line at Summer Camp have you signed up for summer camp? For information see the board outside of the Nursery or contact Barb Crawford at Bethany MOPS Summer Playdate Schedule Pack a lunch and bring the kids to the MOPS summer playdates! There are no MOPS meetings in the summer, but we'll be gathering to let the kids play while us moms catch up a bit. You don't need to be a member of MOPS to attend. Playdates are Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., and will be cancelled in the event of rain. 7 Need Scrip? Stop at the Welcome Center after worship or at the office during the week and purchase a card(s) for Home Depot, KMart, Wal- Mart, Lowes, Target, and many more cards are available. How about going out to eat after a busy day we have cards available for several restaurants. We even have cards for BP and Sunoco for vacation trips. You can also purchase Giant Eagle and Shop n Save cards. This is the easiest fundraiser you will ever participate in because it doesn't cost you anymore than you already spend.
