You are invited to join us at Holy Family Church in Oglesby for Surviving Divorce: Hope and Healing for the Catholic Family (created by Rose Sweet), a ministry for those who have experienced the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage. Surviving Divorce is a 12 week program, beginning Saturday, September 1 st at 10:30am, with DVD presentations and discussion on topics like Getting through Your Anger, Dealing with Depression, Learning to Forgive, Handling Money Wisely, Dealing with Your Family and more. The program is FREE but you must register by calling the Parish Office at Holy Family Church (815) Novena for the Legal Protection of the Unborn Given this historic moment, from Friday, August 3, Friday, September 28, 2018, Catholics will be urged to participate in a 9-week effort of prayer, fasting and education that this change in the Court will move our nation closer to the day when every human being is protected in law and welcomed in life. Using the USCCB Call to Prayer network, participants will receive a weekly or text reminder to pray and fast along with a fact about Roe to share with others including their two U.S. Senators (through the NCHLA/Human Life Action). Sign up will be quick and easy at but we will need your help to spread the word. Deacon Ray will meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month with those who are mourning, experiencing grief or loneliness providing teaching, comfort, consolation, and fellowship.

We thank you for these gifts, and ask that you teach us to be good stewards of our creative spirits. Show us how to slow down a bit, quiet ourselves, and learn the art of re-creation, reflection and relaxation. Encourage us to power down so that we might recharge and reenergize our minds, bodies and spirits for the journey ahead of us.
