Project Defending Life is still closed, and since we have no building to use, Marc and Jane will be at Planned Parenthood from 10:00 to 1:00 to provide support and any signs you may want to use. For more information please call Marc at Mountain Angels 23rd Annual Holiday Bazaar Calling all crafters!! This year s Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 18 th from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are a crafter and would like to participate, we have a few tables left. They are available on a first-come first served basis. Please contact Jeanette Rael at for more information. Donations are needed for the upcoming Turkey Bingo! The Confirmation class will be hosting a Turkey Bingo on Friday, November 17, and are asking for donations of gift items, toys and/or gift certificates to be used for prizes. We want to thank you for so generously supporting this fundraiser each year! For more information, call the Parish Office at Donations can be dropped off at the Parish Office. Cemetery Clean-Up There will be a clean up at the Old Carnuel Cemetery on Saturday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. Weather Permitting. Any old flowers or broken items will be discarded. A Big Thank You From F.I.A.T. to YOU! Thank you for your words of encouragement, toy donations, prayers, and enthusiasm for F.I.A.T.! This group is able to support wives and moms of young children growing spiritually and in friendship with one another. It would not be possible without such a supportive parish! Thank you to Father Granito for allowing F.I.A.T. to exist, for the support of Deacon Larry & Shirley Mallot in getting it off the ground, the entire office staff, and our many, many volunteers from babysitters to toy donors! We are exceptionally grateful and incredibly blessed to serve Holy Child in this way! ~ The F.I.A.T. Let each person make their favorite foods and play their favorite music. Heaven will be even better!

5 Holy Child Catholic School has been working diligently to prepare for our WCEA Accreditation Process. Our scheduled visit is February 26-27, We have been gathering and analyzing data and submitted our rough draft to the Archdiocese in September. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. For the first time, our Middle Schoolers are reading a version of Dante s Divine Comedy, for their study of the Medieval Year. We are really enjoying entering Dante s world. Our new Saint Vincent De Paul group has begun under the leadership of Mr. Bob Coburn. Our report card conferences are October 13 and our Family Gathering is October 27 th. We enjoy this event, in particular, because the students orally recite what they are learning in a classical curriculum and all of the families and staff share a meal together. Our principal, Mrs. Martinez is working with the 5/6 Graders who are studying the American Year. They are memorizing poems like Paul Revere s Ride and founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. We are so grateful for our rich curriculum! Pray for our Seminarians Holy Child is blessed to have these young men studying for the priesthood!
