We would especially like to thank Fr. Granito for his many years of support and the funeral mass, Deacon Maurice Rodriguez and Shirley Mallot for praying the rosary, the Knights of Columbus for the Honor Guard, Rafaelita and Amanda in the parish office, Deb Figge for the music and SVdP for the reception. All notices or Mass intentions must be given to the parish staff no later than on Mondays at 10am in order to be printed in the bulletin. Thank you for understanding. Beginning on Saturday, June 24, 2018 the Vigil Mass will change from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Calling all High School Students!!! (Incoming 9th graders graduating seniors) Come join your friends & other likeminded teenagers for some summer fun and fellowship. We will meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in San Jose Hall and thereabouts. We ll have prayer, fun, snacks, and games. Summer schedule: June 13 & 27, July 11 & 25, August 8 & 22 Come with ideas for naming this group!!

4 Kids Corner Sharing the Gospel Think of how much you have grown since you were born. To see you now, it is hard to imagine you ever wore baby clothes. God's kingdom started out small, and it keeps growing, too. God's kingdom needs people like you to love Jesus and to learn from him. Let God's word sink into your life. As you grow closer to Jesus, God's kingdom will grow. Prayer Jesus, help me learn from you and love you, so that God's kingdom will grow. Something to Draw Draw a picture of yourself reading your favorite Bible story about Jesus. Mission for the Week Memorize John 3:16 this week. Let God's love sink into your heart. Treasure what you learn from Jesus.

5 Holy Child has a new staff member in the parish office We welcome Lety Nieves as the Community Relations Coordinator. She will be helping with fundraising efforts for the parish and school. Lety will initially be assisting with the capital campaign for Holy Child. She is happy to a part of our parish community and hopes to get acquainted with all of you. Catholic Faith and Culture Program starting this Fall! Holy Child Parish has been chosen as a pilot institution for the University of Dallas Catholic Faith and Culture Program. Engage with us in Catholic higher education made accessible! This program consists of a total of 10 sessions; each session is little over two hours. This is an opportunity to delve more deeply into various aspects of Catholic Faith and Culture, reflecting on art, music, history, literature, the meaning and dignity of the human person, and Catholic Social Teaching. Over twenty University of Dallas professors will guide us in this video- and discussion-based program. Our children have the chance to study these topics in our school - and now adults can study them with other parishioners! The cost for this pilot program is $150/person, and sessions are scheduled for the evenings of Sept 20, Oct. 4 & 18, Nov. 15, Dec. 6, Jan. 17, Feb. 21, Mar. 21, Apr. 4, and May 2. More information is available at catholicfaithandculture.org. Here you may also watch the trailer of the exciting material the professors will offer us.
