Job 31:15 REFLECTION On Feb 22, 2019 the Department of Health and Human Services announced that it finalized the Protect Life Rule, regulations for the federal Title X family planning program. The Rule requires clear financial and physical separation between Title X funded projects and programs or facilities where abortion is a method of family planning. Archbishop Joseph Naumann, Chairman of the U.S. Committee on Pro-Life Activities, issued the following statement commending HHS: I applaud the Trump Administration for reaffirming that abortion is not family planning. Abortion ends the lives of families most vulnerable members, as well as damaging the spiritual, mental and physical health of mothers. Although the USCCB continues to have strong objections to government promotion and funding of contraceptives, we have long supported enforcement of the abortion restrictions in Title X, and we are pleased to see that the Administrations has taken seriously its obligation to enforce those restrictions. * PRAYER Heavenly Father, may, Your children through prayers and good works, convert our country and the entire world to a love and respect for all human life, born and unborn. 3 ELIZABETHTOWN, KY SUNDAY, MARCH 17 RCIA will meet Tuesday, March 19 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Saint James Catholic School. Our focus will be, The woman at the well encounters Jesus. Family Faith Formation will meet this Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm at Saint James Catholic School. Students will report to classrooms and the parent session will be, Family Matters. The following people have an EMHC card in the parish office. Please stop by the office and ask for Diane. Also, Saint James will host two EMHC mandate sessions in May: May 13 and May 20. Saint James is expanding our ministry to the homeless in E town by assisting the HIS Ministry. HIS stands for Homeless Intervention Services and their goal is to keep an overnight shelter open year round. Please join us in prayer for an end to infanticide: Jesus, Lord of Life, transform the hearts of all elected leaders to recognize that infanticide is wrong and must not be tolerated. Volunteers are needed to spend one hour a week spreading the message of God s love, forgiveness and hope. Women volunteers minister to women; men volunteers minister to men at the Hardin County Detention Center. Training is provided for this ministry. People in prison are still people, made in the image and likeness of God. No matter what someone has done, they deserve the opportunity to hear the Word of God and find the Truth of the message of Christ. Both men and women volunteers are needed to keep this important ministry active for Saint James. Please consider giving of your time and heart.
