The Good Shepherd Council of Catholic Women is sponsoring a Bus Trip to American Music Theater on Thursday, December 8, The Trip is open to the Parish on first-come first-served basis. The bus is limited to 50 people. We will depart from the Good Shepherd Parking Lot at 10:30 a.m. and return home at 6:30 p.m. Our day will include a one-hour stop at the Bird in Hand Bake Shop, Served Lunch at Plain & Fancy Restaurant and the Winter Wonderland Show at American Music Theatre. The Religious Education Office is looking for ADULTS OR VOLUNTEERS to fill in on Monday evenings when the primary Catechists are unavailable to teach. You do not need to be a teacher. You simply need to be open to God s call and willing to share your faith. We will provide you with the necessary materials and guidance. Please prayerfully consider offering your time and talent. Fan the Fire Youth Rally: Fan the Fire is a one day event designed to reach out to teens in grades 8-12 and help them to either deepen their relationship with Christ or discover it for the first time. The day consists of a dynamic host, high-quality music, talented local, regional and national Catholic youth speakers, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, confessions, contemporary Mass, concert, dinner and more. It will be held on Saturday, November 19. 5 COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENTS Mass in the Polish Language will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg today, October 16, at 2:00 p.m. Confessions will be heard in English and Polish following the Mass. This Mass takes place regularly on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The Bittersweet Season: On Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., at the Diocesan Center in Harrisburg, Forever in Our Hearts Ministry is offering a grief workshop for families who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or infant death. Please join us as together we prepare for the upcoming challenging season. Our speaker will be Leslie Delp, Founder of Olivia s House and Bereavement Specialist. Parking is available on side streets and on Second Street as well. All are invited to attend and participate. No signage necessary; just bring your prayers. As we circle the facility, we will pray silently to end the tragedy of abortion at Hillcrest, in our state, and in our nation. Now more than ever we need to storm Heaven with our prayers. Thousands of children have lost their lives at Hillcrest. Come and join us to pray for an end to abortion.
