3 Divine Mercy Sunday-April 8, 2018 Living the Gospel through immediate mental health services. Mental health problems can escalate if not addressed quickly. That s why the five Catholic Family Services agencies in the Archdiocese of Toronto now offer walkin counselling. This initiative can often meet clients need without requiring longer term counselling. Clients report a clinically signifcant increase in confidence that they can tackle their problems. By supporting ShareLife, you re helping restore hope to those in crisis. Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto. April 22 is the next ShareLife Sunday. Parish Outreach to Seniors program-funded by your ShareLife donations, is making a significant impact in the lives of families and seniors in our communities because of the generosity of the many wonderful parishioners from our family of Churches-Guardian Angels, Sacred Heart, St. Columbkille and St. Francis of Assisi. We have an immediate need for additional volunteers to visit with lonely and isolated seniors in our communities for 1 hour per week. Why not consider being part of this growing outreach? Volunteers can visit on their own, or invite a friend or your spouse to team up with you as visiting partners! If you would like to learn more or register for upcoming training, please call Wanda at ext. 135 or by at seniors.guardianangels@gmail.com. We d love to hear from you! Good News from the Refugee Committee! The refugee family from Iraq that we are sponsoring have been given a travel date! Mehyar, Anita and 2 ½ year old Khathleen will be arriving on May 2 nd and final preparations are under way at last. Thank you again to everyone who has donated items and gift cards to help the Shema family settle into their new home in our community. Donations of gift cards that can be used for groceries and basic household items are still welcome. Anyone wishing to contribute to their settlement, please contact Tine Curran at or tine.curran@mail.com.
