3 May 25, 2016 Note from the Pastor New Assignment I have been invited by Cardinal Dolan to be the new Pastor at the Church of St. Peter s in lower Manhattan. St. Peter s also includes the Parish of the Holy Rosary near the Staten Island Ferry terminal and the Chapel of St. Joseph s in Battery Park City. I have accepted the new assignment which will commence July 1 st. My sincere thanks to all our parishioners at St. John s and especially to the great Parish Staff, Parish Council, and Finance Council who have been of such great assistance to me over the years. I will always treasure my time at St. John s and will remember you daily in my prayers. Your continuing prayers for me are needed and appreciated! Fr. Quinn

6 Memorial Day Outdoor Mass Monday, May 30 at 9 AM Prayer Garden of Remembrance Please join us as we remember all those who gave their lives in service to their country. Weather permitting, we will celebrate this Mass outdoors in the Prayer Garden of Remembrance. Memorial Day Prayer: Heavenly Father, on this day of remembrance for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day, we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please hold our servicemen and women in your strong arms.
